FORD 8210 NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY

- welcome back to another episode of farming life at la forge. In this weeks video we have another new tractor, a Ford 8210. We bought this tractor a few weeks ago and we will be showing you on this video the tractor arriving, some touch ups dad is doing in the garage including adding a john deere hitch, and then we will show you around the tractor, drive it so you will get to see it running. Also we have machinery being loaded to go back to Ireland, a hay turner, a plough and a vintage small square baler. hope you enjoy the video!

A beast of a tractor. We have that tractor on our farm. I collect 1/32 scale model tractors myself. I’m looking for that model myself but so far haven’t been successful

I drove one of those back in the eighties. Ploughing mainly, don't load the engine too much stay in a lower gear than you would normally and rev the engine instead. It will consume a lot less diesel.
Good luck with the engine, there is a design ecconomy, the cooloing is pumped in the front of the block and out of the front.
The 6th cylinder gets to hot, our one had too be bored out and a liner put in.

nice tractor, used to have one, till it broke in half (fitted a laforge front lift and loaded it to heavy front and back) sometimes forgot to switch between the 2 fuel tanks, but still full of regrets the old girll went iaway

That’s a nice 8210. I passed my tractor driving test in a 2WD 1983 8210 over 30 years ago. Yours appears relatively smoke free for a Ford, especially one that doesn’t seem to have been worked hard to blast the crud out of the exhaust once in a while!

I am not really a Ford man but Dad obviously is and all the best to him that said its a good clean tractor for an 84 and only 4000 hours it will have plenty in front of it, I had a couple of boxes down so Dad you will manage it no bother, that dog looks a proper cattle dog he's a stock one, let's have some more of your cattle on and may be some of your neighbours cattle as well that would be good to see what farmers round about you are up too, very enjoyable video good effort well done
Yes, hoping to get some more cattle on here soon, but not a lot going on with them at the moment. Hope your enjoying the channel thanks :)

Great video as usual, you may need to build a few extra sheds to store the extra tractors but who could blame your dad , we would all do it if we could

What social life? haha no it's not too bad we're lucky we have a farm with lots to do during these times :)
Are good second tractors 🚜, 07 ,08 100hp expensive, they very dear in lreland
they can be pricey here too, but you can still find a lot of good tractors for a good price yes
is there an easy way to remove the battery on the 8210?
Nicer without the loader savage tractor used drive one with a turbo then ya have some beast can ya get a q cab in France my cousin is looking for one

It does look a bit clumbsy with the loader, but we need if for the loader on the second farm :)

Ur father has loader itis. What would u want all them loaders for especially when ye have a telehandler. Maybe keep 1 but not 4

If it's mechanical he can figure out yes! I believe it's 40km/hr

It sure is one of our longest but we had a lot to pack in. Weather is now wet and cold haha, the grass is growing great, a bit warmer would be nice :)

Series 10 to replace the 8200 ‘ I reckon that tractor is at least 40 years old ‘ probably mid 80’s as the 8210 was officially launch in 1982 , would be interesting to know the hours on her , she sounds sweet 👍

@@johnmcgee9159 I’ve got say some of our tractors SAME have only 3500 hrs in northern Italy , my uncles got TWO SAME HERCULES 160 , that have done a lot of heavy tillage and ploughing , 4500 hrs , for 30 year old tractors!!
