BYD Launches Seal, Plans to go Bigger In India

The BYD Seal has been launched in India, and with it BYD reveals how it plans to grow in this market. The strategy is to adopt an EV-only portfolio (BYD does offer hybrids in other markets), to gain big share in the pure electric market segment as it grows. The Seal is a flagship and yet has driven in with reasonably attractive pricing. BYD's India business lead Sanjay Gopalakrishnan talks to Siddharth Vinayak Patankar about these plans and also tells him what his favourite feature is on the Seal EV!

we want byd sea lion instead of seal, it's ground clearance even for most of the city's roads is not practical, people buying this car for range anxiety makes no sense, most of the buyers won't be able to take this car for outstation trips anyways.
