Pat, one of the reasons i follow your channel is because you are not only very knowledgeable, not a Homer, but a compassionate person. For example, what you said today about DJ and how he feels this season. That being established, I am kinda with MM (who commented above)asking about Daboll’s job security or DJ’s injury clause. I don’t know if it’s offside as he claims, but it appears to be low hanging fruit and perhaps designed to embarrass. I understand it’s NYC media and it’s all fair game- but I think you’re different than those guys ( e.g., Adam Schefter: SAS.) Other than that, I really enjoy your work and interviews with Bennie are great. Bring back Justin Pugh when you can and get his take on our new O line- looking much better than last season!!

Can’t believe all the fans getting upset with what you asked. Anything, game related of course, is fair game. Theses wookies should have been around when Dick Young was feuding with Seaver. Now that was entertaining! Daboll has proven himself to be a total incompetent. No kicker, challenged an obvious call. Pat - you were the one who asked about job security?! What response were you expecting? You should know better. My entire family was in the NY media including NY Daily News, CBS, WMCA.
You are also the journalist who asked DJ about the injury clause in his contract? That line of inquiry after a tough loss is irresponsible on so many levels. It totally denigrates the hard work by DJ to get on the field. It's disrespectful, and I say this as a former QB and journalist.
What the heck, Pat? Smirk all you want, but you're reducing your own credibility as a journalist.
Not having an extra kicker, defense between the twenty yard lines, that's fair game. But inquiries about job security and protective contract clauses will mutilate your relationship with the team you are assigned to cover.
If I was the sports editor of "The Snooze", you'd be reassigned so fast your head would spin.
