Having grown up in an era when making a movie meant hauling around a film camera, likely with no sound, I am gobsmacked by the documentary quality of videos produced today. The quality of this video could have only been matched by a full network documentary back in the day. Looking forward to all episodes. Thanks for putting it together.
Truly humbled and motivated by your words! We have access to some pretty powerful tools these days. I fact that I am for some reason motivated to continue making these each week helps me get better at the skill of editing. Thank you for watching!
Nice vid! Ferg's chill always adds to the stoke I get from your channel. And the cameo by Cam is badass. He built one of my frames-small batch of gravel bikes through Mike Varley at Black Mountain Cycles. Love the ride of that bike. Looking forward to the next two. Cheers
I really appreciate your work with framing and editing, always finding little gems to show us like the background architecture at 0:22 and 0:56 for instance. Kudos.
Ah, Pre Australia with Fergus. If you hadn't guessed I'm binge watching all your videos. I need it desperately right now to stay motivated and out of the winter Dark Zone.
Whoa, I just missed you guys. It looks like you started by taking a Bart train to the MacArthur Stn, then rode (past my house) to the Emeryville Amtrak Stn. Anyway, great views in part 1.
Another awesome video and looking forward to part 2. Still trying to figure out how you go from freehand on your cam to fixed POV (can't see any mounts on your helmet or a chest mount). Anyway, great vid and edit.
Pretty sure they are the Cross link by Oakley with photochromic Rx lens: www.oakley.com/en/search?show=Page&q=rx%3AoakleyRelevanceSort%3AoakleySportsFacet%3ACycling
This was a demo bike and was set up with tubes. Glad it was not tubeless for the nail that was sticking out of the wheel that would have been a mess. Especially with it being 90º out.
An obscure Swedish bike badge at 8:29 -- wonder how it made its way over there? Probably ebay, globalisation really can take the magic out of everything :-/ mo-ped.se/bike/em_cykl1.htm

What's up with the teal streaker in your bros bag. Is that for obtaining landmarks? If so more power to the both of you, keep fucken peddling.
Thats for writing our names on stuff ;)
Oh fuck, we might very well be long lost bike brothers. That's the way of life.
The shadow @6 minutes looks like a pitbull on the bicycle.
Why no tubeless?
