Make Bean Stitch Lettering Bold & Ribbon-like

- Lunchtime Learning with Embrilliance! Today we discuss some lettering controls such as adjusting word and line spacing and even how to slant (or un-slant!) lettering! For both single and multiple lines of text.
We are working with the Romance Bean Script font in this project and show how to make it appear "more bold" or "more prominent" in your project. This is done using the "nudge" or micro-movement function on your keyboard. It is so easy to move .1mm at a time by using the Shift (on Mac) or Control (on Windows) while using the arrow keys on your keyboard. When you need to be precise, Embrilliance provides you with this pinpoint control!
The look of "ribbon candy" takes the "copy/paste/nudge" technique one step further - so easy to elevate your simple running stitch font into a beautiful new look!

OMG...how cool this is! I was looking for something else and ran across this video. I was mesmerized and forgot what I was actually doing. Definitely going to play with this. Question: my screen in Embrilliance (Essentials) looks different than yours, not just the top bars, but the right boxes. Is it because you have other levels of Embrilliance and I just have Essentials?
Probably and I am using a Mac vs Windows. Just visually different but things function the same.
Another fabulous mini lesson!!❤ Just enough information for me to absorb. Making those changes to create a ribbon font-brilliant! Here’s a question that has nothing to do with your lesson. Is there any way I can add Embrilliance Essentials (paid version with serial number) to my iPad Pro? My MacBook Air 13 is now ten years old and showing its age. If I could design on the iPad, I could then transfer it to the Mac once I’m ready to export to a flash drive. Thank you again for all the excellent videos. 15:06

I tried making my bean font thicker/bolder by using the arrow key and it didn’t work. I’m using a Mac.

Yes, you need to update your software to adjust word spacing in single line. Otherwise use multiline.

Great tutorial… Can this be done with any font?
The steps don’t care what font you use but it works and makes sense with a run style font. Do a test sew if you aren’t sure your selection is a good idea.

Would you do a video to show how to decrease layers of a multi color design? I have tried the flatten feature and I just can't figure it out without losing large pieces of my design. I have level 3 software. Any help would be so greatly appreciated.
