this fishing method reminds me of fishing in Indian ocean off west Sumatra in the 1990s. handline is risky for newbies with soft palm skin and in case caught any monster size. I love hand lines though. you get the real feel.

That large grouper was an orange spotted grouper and not Goliath grouper. I have lost so many big ones while fishing with light gear.
