Wilderness in the winter of 1975 was the biggest and best wave I've ever seen in PR.
A triple stack of cold fronts (that froze the oranges of Florida), caused the huge monsters.
Only 3 went out including Gary Branham (Ramey senior) who got a photo in Surfer magazine captioned
"GB riding a wilderness giant": I was on the roof of a van to see riders carve their bottom turns,
and the whole parking area was vibrating and shuddering from the massive shore break.
Puerto rico has some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.🇵🇷🌴🐸❤
1971 i WAS SURFING MIDDLES, OUTSIDE REEF (TRES PALMES), WAS STARTING TO FEATHER. I PADDLED OUT THERE AND CAUGHT THE TAKE THE NEXT WAVE, OR DIE, I CAUGHT IT, IT WAS THE BEST AND BIGGEST WAVE I EVER ROAD. 30 FT PLUS. FOND MEMORY
Ive surfed this spot at 10-12 feet, one of the scariest most beautiful, most epic fucking days of my life!

Theses were the guys that in 1996-2006a ten year span of surfers to charge that wave was , Dennis rich , Miami Dave , skip Pitt , jay cloud horton ,RanDawg, Dave grimes ,waggy Cohana , Roberto licha , and a guy who lives behind me on bummer hill did drop in on some bombs with a boogy board, can’t forget Richie smith and partington I may forgot about tieno Carson had two mention him I seen him and he was doing it before me but still think cowboy Carson kinda never really was cool to me but he’s good to my folks so I guess he gets a break , o and Leon Hudson pine apple head was out there, I know there’s a couple more of you but there was only a hand full of guys that’s was o corky and Cheezer , Dave the shaper nother naibor of mine not to say I surfed every swell but I surfed Dogmans and the pistons on those big days for the tube ride now if I count on my fingers 20 dudes but the best tube I seen was skip Pitt so deep it was one hell of a sight paddling out with grimes. And his quote was we must be the luckiest two guys to witness this right in front of us he was 30’ deep in that tube it was a sight to see as he got shot out with that rumble of the oceans jungle and blue as it gets , and jay cloud at jobos rock deep in the massive tube backside goofy foot when it was 25’ 200 yards back behind the rock jay was so deep it was the best sight looking like a triton blue eyed blond haired triton of that crackenn of a wave first time I made it out in waves the size of the lower east side of Manhattan, man I’ll tell you those were the best years I think of Puerto Rico besides what pardington and Johnny lee horten jays dad and Dennis riches stories of 69-1989 that they were the only 2 families there that were amarican Casey and jays fam. Even Richie smith had stories about those days but I got there and the party I brought back they will never forget about Dawg style. Now I know they wish they were a little better to me i garontee because I went back there and no where near the I created for that place I seen bunch people wondering around with there thumb up there asses yea I know don’t worry if you have something to say I’m coming back see if you and talk say differently I know and so do you there ain’t nobody like dawg for that and you all know what I created besides jealousy that I just shrugged off my shoulders that who is who from who vile I just laughed at the way people don’t know how to create an atmosphere of joy but the waves do mama nature can create that I can in one day so to all the hatters that smile when I sho up that’s all it takes for me that I done my job cuz I never held a grudge like most . Except one and he v knows as well as I do all because of treated like that anyone would because I wouldn’t never push my waight around like my shit don’t stink and have that as looking down at someone because they feel superior no not my style but as a hole I love that place like home I hope to bring back that joy again soon my friends and family mi su amigos Randy land Dawg style. Ps i hope you guys kept up my legacy you youth that I took under my wing o I forgot , Roger n captain bill that he was out there two that captain bill taught me how to lay tile I’d like to here from all of you I miss you guys Carson save it !
