On some videos, I see "BMW" in the middle of the screen when the car starts up, but others, it just shows the car image animation. Which one is correct? Does it show that BMW splash screen on start up or not? Is it different depending on the model of the car? Is there a setting to get it to do that? I would want the BMW logo on start up.
do you have any plan to discount some products especially for rear view camera products ?
My 2017 X5 came with 6WB, iDrive6 and touch screen unit all from factory

Having a 6WA with a HUD I don't thik this is worth it. But if you have a relatively fresh car and no HUD or 6WB and thinking of keeping it for a while, it could be worth it.

Hi BimmerTech, is it possible to code the digital reading up to 200 MPH for example? I've been looking around on the forums and can't find any info about that.

Hi and one more thing.when you press button on speedometer for long time you will get more info on the right clock I mean info cooling temp. oil temp.how many petrol/diesel is in the tank etc.

In certain models this should be available through the secret menu in the digital cluster.

No, it actually mostly depends on car specifications and the year of production. There's no general rule.
HI BimmerTech, I just discovered your channel. I just bought a 2015 BMW X5 F15 X40e Hybrid M Performance. However i wanted to upgrade the 6WA -Extended Cluster with a 6WB Cluster. I bought the cluster and had a technician install it and code it. It worked at first and then on my way home i got Drivetrain Fault and then later got battery not charging. I replaced the cluster with the old (6WA) and reset the system and cleared all the codes and everything started to work as before the 6WB was installed. I contacted the supplier i bought the cluster from and he said that he did not realize that the my vehicle was a hybrid and that the 6WB would not work in the Hybrid X40e. I just wanted to confirm if this is actually the case and there was something else that was needed to be done to get the unit to work as it should. thank you and have a great day!.
Hey! We sadly can't help you with the product from the other supplier, but we recommend you check the compatibility with 6WB instrument cluster on our page. It's an OEM part, so if it indicates it's compatible, the product you ordered is likely to be faulty
I put my vin in on the website and it says it isn't compatible but it's an F36 and the ad on the website says it is. Doesn't make sense to me.

Do you see the gear shifting indicator while in manual mode? It shows some lights on the edge of the tachometer. In my car it doesn't work.

I hate the look of the sport mode. Eco pro mode layout can be turned off and replaced with the standard (comfort) graphics. This can be done simply by unchecking one box in the display configuration (iDrive). However, I'm not able to find similar option for the sport gauges. Am I doomed to look at them each time I switch car in the sport or sport + mode?
Unfortunately, the Sport+ mode layout cannot be changed.

Hi, could you explain what you mean by “dyno mode”?
Press and hold on the trip reset button on the left of your cluster, once you are in your hidden menu you can scroll by pressing once on the trip reset button until you see "roller mode" and that's dyno mode

Hi, unfortunately only F and G Series vehicles can be upgraded with the digital cluster.
Would the sport mode and eco-pro mode display the mpg bar?
On the 6WB cluster, only the Comfort mode shows the economizer. The other modes either do not show any information about the current consumption (sport, sport+) or show only the charge-power indicator (eco-pro).

How do I get the navigation directions to show in the center?
You should be able to set this up through your iDrive settings. Head over to the settings labeled as Instrument Cluster, where you will find more options for the 6WB cluster.

This gen gauge cluster doesn't come with map display
is sports+ and comfort+ available on it?
If your car has comfort+ and sport+ mode, then it will be displayed. 6WB cluster works as a monitor, so it will display everything that a particular car is equipped with.

What does it mean if someone is selling one and says it’s not a Virgin? Does that mean it cannot be reset?
This means it is not restored to factory settings. A used cluster must first be virginized in order to be installed and coded in other cars.

But it looks old already compared to the new dash. This was a waste of bmw R&D. They just mimicked analog gauges. They must have realized this because it was only around for a couple of years
it was out for 3 years and they had to because the standard instrument cluster (6WA) was so much further behind in tech compared to equivalent models at the time from other luxury brands. if you need other mods for the car this can wait but it definitely looks better than the 6WA cluster.

There's a 10% discount till today on all BMW upgrades, including the 6WB cluster. It's the only time in a year you can have it for less.
It’s not worth it. I saw a local member with this 6wb. The center display stays blank most times unless you use a nav. And even then it’s just arrows. The sport mode looks tacky, but it’s subjective. The eco mode only shows up to 60 mph. It feels incomplete especially if you are on the highway cruising at 70-75. Comfort mode is the best looking. But for $2000, I’d rather just change the bulbs to white on my cluster to change the look. It will even age better.
I knew it wasn't worth it once dude said... "so is it worth it"... "before I answer it, blah blah blah...." then never answers it.
when you config eco mode you can set up speed to show on speedometer so its not true what you wrote.
And it has a very laggy speedo refresh rate, 100% not worth it., it should've at least have more info in that empty space
