I love how well this scene is done- On one hand Shion is grateful Kosmos saved her from becoming a salt pillar, but on the other, it harkens back to what she said during the encephalon- That when she has to awaken it may be a time of much bloodshed
KOS-MOS just woke up. And unfortunately for the gnosis, on the wrong side of the bed. But it's funny, if KOS-MOS actually battled at 100% battle output, there would be no enemies left standing anywhere. Anyways yeah, KOS-MOS is pretty awesome. Any scenes where she takes action are epic.
For her Smash Bros reveal trailer, Pyra is in the predicament that Shion was in and then just like in Episode I, KOS-MOS eliminates the threat on cue with this track.
cause most people just know the series as "Xenoblade" and dont think to check if there was anything before XB1 since it is the first game in that line.
For certain characters. They kind of just picked the best from both episodes. Shion and KOS-MOS got their Episode 1 VAs back, and chaos keeps his Episode 2 VA for example.
No problem! I just started replaying the game again a few days ago, so I just saw that scene not that long ago.. it's been over five years since I last played; playing it again reminds me why it's my all-time favorite game.
... I can just hear it now... a Smash/Xenoblade trailer with Shulk facing an overwhelming threat... and then... just as things are looking grim for Shulk... that classic track from Xenosaga Episode One plays... Battling KOS-MOS. Perfect for her introduction as she bursts into action... showcasing her Smashing Moveset. Again... PERFECT for her introduction. With the formula they've been using for these character reveals... they can go straight into the Gameplay from the cinematic with that track. So good. ... Shulk REALLY needs another Monolith Soft Xeno Rep...so I am sticking to this. ... God Speed, KOS-MOS.

It's alright. Not near as good as the first though in my opinion. It continues the story well, guess it was the design change that I didn't like the most.

Why exactly wasn't this used as a battle theme? The game sure could've used a few.
This definitely would have been a good battle system indeed at least for a minor boss battle or something.

Twice actually. 1st when KOS-MOS saved Shion, & second time as the Gnosis dragged the Zohar Emulator through a portal. Still, wish it was used more.

well, they play near the beginning when KOS-MOS saves Shion during the Gnosis attack on the Woglinde. I remember that one for sure.

I like Shion's voice actually. Not so much in Episode 2 though.
This music is so good, I put it above the final boss theme for the 2nd Xenosaga (sorry if you think I'm wrong)

Nintendo doesn't own Xenosaga. They only have the rights too Xenoblade.

Well as long as she came back its fine, I really liked her voice. I wasnt so much a fan of Shion's voice though.
