I remember the 2k games were 20 bucks. And they were some of the best games I played. There is still things the show could use from this game. They even had some of the real minor league stadiums in it. That was awesome.
I would absolutely love an updated roster for this game. 2K7 was incredible when it came out. The fabric movement was excessive but what was new was the constantly animated field and the idea that the perspective (or cameras) would cut to whatever they wanted randomly and catch whatever was happening rather than stitching together canned animations which is how all games were (and still are) made today. The gameplay needed slider tweaking, and some things never got ironed out by patches but it's 2024 and I still remember games I played in 2K7. My problem at the time that impeded me playing it was the limited 4 player franchise mode so you couldn't control all the teams and keep the rosters up to date. But today, not caring about keeping rosters current, it would just be a blast to play a season of this. The lack of good quality sports games these days really has me going back a lot to older games that were just better but for one reason or another I couldn't play them at the time due to season and franchise settings limitations. And the fact is that several years later, for the fun of playing a game that's great, I don't even care if there's no mod with updated rosters. I'm willing to play with rosters from that year. But I would love it if editing was possible. Of course you CAN edit players one by one, but the commentary still says the previous player's name unless you change the last name and you can only create 25 players. Anyway, good memories.
Back when the priority of sports games was fun. Designing a game to provide enjoyment. What a crazy concept. Now the priority is to drain gambling addicts of their money. Year after year.

im just now also realizing the boarder of the player card (that looks like a trading card) they use during highlight clips/ starting lineup in game were the same as the real life topps cards from this year as well. they don't make games like they used to

2K baseball was underrated yeah they didn't have the greatest graphics and their games were definitely buggy at times I mean especially 2K9 2K10 wasn't perfect 2K11 was all right but yeah from 2K5 up their games are good really good for the most part PS if you can get a petition going to somehow get it to 2K and get them to make a baseball game you have my signature 😁

When it comes to sport video games, there’s not much you can do but improve the graphics & gameplay… 😂 I stopped buying sport video games in 2008… they were all the same to me.
Its people like you that just plain suck at the game and don't notice the things they improve on (graphics animations ball physics and more) it's boring cause you either aren't good or don't pay attention to details the game is great and sales are better than ever for the show

I played a lot of this game. A lot. It is kinda bad even for the time. Every pitcher's defense goes to 0 for some reason due to a bug never patched. The franchise mode is very bare bones. There is a "AAA" team that is basically just a reserve roster. There is no waivers, DFAing, a proper minor league system, arbitration, nothing. You can make tickets cost a lot or a little. It has very few unique pitcher animations, with some that are inaccessible to the player because they are stretch-only (BJ Ryan and Chris Ray being two examples). The rest have extremely ugly motions. The soundtrack is pretty good, though. And there are cheats.
MLB 2K8 was my favorite growing up, fantastic gameplay and a legendary soundtrack
MLB 2K11 was, I think, the only one on 360 in the UK. I played it to death. Have been a little tempted to get a 360 just to play that again.

MVP 05 was damn good also but I played all the 2K games especially after they updated it and put the broadcast camera angle in there
