Good summation of the Pies Pommy, towards the end of last season the Pies were starting to get their act together, the start of the season buggered them. Collingwood would have given a better account of themselves in the finals than Sydney had they made it. They have recruited exactly where they needed, another tall forward in Tim Membrey, a star half back in Dan Houston to free up Darcy Moore and Harry Perryman as a swingman between midfield and half back. Go Pies in '25.....
Thanks mate. Best of luck! Although we're rivals I'm a big footy fan and try and keep my blue love away from the analysis thanks mate hope to meet in the granny and then Melbourne stands still
Can you imagine Melbourne if the Blues and the Pies reach the Granny, 100,000 in the MCG 100,000 trying to get in. We both still respect each other and we still have the biggest rivalry in the AFL, Good luck to the Blues for "25.....
For Adelaide: I like how they've been able to recruit both Peatling and Cumming from GWS to help build more agility and speed within their midfield. Like you said, I also feel that the Crows weren't too good in maintaining forward half dominance as at times last season they have been exposed without having any pressure ball magnets. This is where I feel that adding in Neal-Bullen from Melbourne will help to bring in a lot more energy and pressure within the Crow's midfield. For North: I agree that North are in a little bit of a similar position to where Hawthorn were in their last off season. By recruiting Luke Parker from Sydney, this will help North to not only build on their leadership but will also help to bring in more fire power within their midfield. With available backup to support Parker such as LDU, Sheezel, and Wardlaw, this will help North to bring in a more exciting midfield heading into 2025. Like you said, by adding Jack Darling to North's forward line will really help to support Nick Larkey up forward so that he can develop his game further and this will also help North's smaller forwards to be more mobile and unpredictable in their forward line. For Collingwood: With adding in Dan Houston from Port, I feel that this would not only help to provide more support for Darcy Moore down back but would also help Nick Daicos to really evolve his game further in the midfield. With Collingwood also adding in Tim Membrey to their forward line, I feel that this will help the pies to stretch out their forward line and would allow other forwards such as Hill, Elliott, Mihocek etc to really get lose in the pies forward line.
Really enjoyed this synopsis mate. Mirrored my thoughts couldn't agree more! Looking forward to doing a contenders, a builders and a I'm escrow series of the remaining sides
Love your summary of my Roo's mate and fully agree with your other two choices too. Could definitely see a world where the Crows pull it off though they kind of have to. Even the Pies who despite their age are still very competitive and very well trained to do what they need to to pull the Hawthorn plan off. Collingwood can do it but God help em if they don't... I'd absolutely LOVE for my Roo's to do a Hawthorn though. Starved of success and it's quite literally what we're missing most atm. 2025 will be a year of bug changes, you can just feel the hype brewing big already.
Thanks mate. I really feel there's a lot of mirrors with the roos to hawks both side took their medicine both have gone with the group they feel will be there next 5 years so can see a jump
Another plus of Membrey is Elliott and Schultz can do more pressure work allowing us to push McCreery up the field into stoppages and centre bounces which is the last thing I want to see as a rival spectator when the guy takes to a tackle like a methed up psychopath
Adelaide definitely improved their list getting Cumming, ANB, Peatling and Sid Draper as well as getting rid of Elliott Himmelberg, definitely enhanced their list there
I honestly think i'm most hyped up to see what Hugh Bond turns out to be this year, bro could be a seriously lethal tagger if he gets time invested in him to do so
North are well and truly overdue.I’m really hoping Collinscum keep that trajectory going,as in heading south into oblivion,as for the Crows I think you’re right about them challenging for a top 4 spot as long we can take care of them this year tho
Crows really fit the bill so bullish last year and they weren't at the races, think they'll fire. North I really like the make-up of the side and back end they started to look alright just had no hard edge gonna be interesting
Cant really count them in this as they spent majority the year at 2nd! think only the most hardcore oppo fan wouldnt say Carlton should be a top 4 side otherwise it would be a disaster
Evening Pommy, agree the crows understand their problems and have recuited well but not convinced they really believe as a playing group, they've underperformed I think the last few seasons, how many hard luck seasons before the hard luck turns out as simply an excuse? The problem, cattle or game plan mate, what do you think. North, Parkers going to shine in that group, can't beat the hard earned nous, love Calad as a player. Norths year mate, got a cystal ball, could be anything from bad to great. Teams could pull Moore to the part of the ground they wanted, nulified his year so with the new additions, as you say mate, that won't be such a problem this year. Still feel this season is part of the all or nothing couple of years, the average age of the pies could have them dropping on their arse in a blink of the eye, so this season it could they be they really challenge or turn out to be an old steam engine with little coal to fire the boiler. As a blue baggert mate hopping its puffing billy on a slow day, times the only answer to that I suspect. As always mate well thought out precise points, love your work, Go Pom Go Blues
Thanks mate and love your views. Gonna be a interesting season ahead. Lots of sides have immediately plugged holes we saw last year. All how they integrate and perform on game day. Looking forward to covering the baggers in one of these soon
@@PommyinOZ Looking forward to how you see the year going, just today heard someone pushing the stastics that sides finnishing 5 to 8 drop out next season, starting to try to niggle us already mate.
Excellent analysis, Pommy. Your work is of a very high standard. Keep it up. I hope the Kangaroos don't rise too much, as we have their 2025 first round pick. Freo, should rise. Baggers, it is all about having more luck with injuries.
I agree re: Collingwood. I have them had flag favourites going into 2025. Getting Houston will be a master stroke for them
Yeah all to play for with them
If theres one thing ive learnt about this current collingwood side, is that they come back with a vengenace. Reckon theyll shock everyone next year
Been there done it. That counts for a lot never would count them out
Can’t wait to see what Curtin does this season, training in the midfield this preseason
Love this for Danny, caught some sanfl really impressed
the idea of Curtin, Draper, Peatling, Rankine and Soligo in the midfield mix is exciting
@willmus6358 such a nice mix really bullish on you guys this year
@ can’t wait to be back at AO for round 1, soooo keen!
💙 love the great work brother
👏👏👏💙💙💙
All this north talk is making me excited 🔥
👀👀👀
McInnes models his game on Jordan Ridley who fits a similar frame to Nathan Murphy
If he's half as good as ridley be a huge result

@noelroberts8199 be massive. Like the final round games that was mental. Add a final and bang you'd have the highest grossing final I'd reckon ever

Some good gets. Beau is so underrated it's like all them pressure guys ANB, Fogarty, Beau everyone overlooks them

Looking forward to seeing the pre season game and how everyone’s looking
Genuinely have a hunch for some reason
But if support for the old Roo boys! Love to see it X
Do actually think you can do well and surprise some people
@ 💙
Collingwood 2025 hoping to be the Geelong of 2022.
Facts
If all these teams are gonna improve, that means Carlton, Suns & Dongs will probably not make the 8
Bout 12 sides make the 8 at the moment 🤣🤣🤣
@ it’s generally like that every year that’s how close it is
Collingwood will be back
I firmly believer so too mate
Hawthorn were in 2024 what Collingwood were in 2022, and I don’t want anyone to get any Nico Rosberg ideas
🤣🤣🤣
Except age profile.
None of them are coming up in 25', it's Saints year 😂
🤣🤣🤣 for you maybe I'll do a saint vid
Oh what a Grand Final it was in 97. Great memories.
LOL 😂

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa none of that lot thanks 🤣😂
