Hi pea, i disagree with you about the "single status on facebook" question... My filipina and I are in a french meetup group of about 20 filipinas and most of them are married with french guys ... and most of them didn't changed their facebook status before being married. The main reason is to prevent from chismosa, and also to prevent family members from asking for money ... and i guess also to prevent "friends" from improving their crab mentality ...
I have two rules: 1. do not steal from me! 2. do not lie to me! and lying is the theft of the truth! (see rule number one!) Thanks for another insightful video, Pea! You look sensational in that dress! :)
I've been married to a filipina for 20 years... I still learn a few things from you Pea... i wish a lot of this information was available to me years ago... it sure would have made things easier in our relationship.
I was teaching my Filipina wife how to drive one summer. She was extremely nervous and kept over steering when making turns, not to mention, slamming the breaks whenever I tried to correct her. Finally, both she and I had had enough for the day and decided to return home with me at the wheel. As I pulled up to our house, I asked her if she wanted to try parking the car. She turned to look me in the eye and stated rather dramatically, "No you go fark yourself okay?" Although shocked at first, seeing as I had grown accustomed to her pronunciation of English words, I quickly regained my composure and simply parked the car myself...
Funny yet gut wrenching at the same time. One time I was with my wife at the time, unfortunately not a Filipina , and she seemingly sincerely told me I was the best husband in the world and one minute later exploded at me and said she wanted a divorce. I brought it up a few years later and she said “ it’s not true “ ,I never said that “ my ex wife’s emotional I.Q. Is that of a toddler 😢
Life tip. Never teach anyone to drive 😂 For your own safety and for any relationship you might have with the person ... leave it to the pros. 😊 Even if you have to pay for it.
Filipinas are classy, fun, intelligent, and incredibly beautiful. (i.e. Fritchie and Filipina Pea😍😍) Sadly, North American women seem to have exchanged their beauty and kindness for bitterness and resentment.
I just want to leave a comment here. Pea, you are super smart and any man who wins your heart will be very happy. I am absolute impressed by your videos and quite frankly they should make you Tourist Minister in the Philippines.😃 Stunning work you do and your openness as well your friendlyness is not comparable. I wish you all the best.
Pea I greatly agree you are very special young Lady And NOW are YOU single I wouldn't never expect that to be possible but I need a lady just like you if you're unavailable beautiful
Hello Lovely.... I met my Pinoy husband in the early 80s. He was fresh out of the Navy & being Pinoy, living with his Mom & Family... before I knew it his Beautiful mom gifted us a Wedding. My husband saw a Beautiful Caucasian & pursed me relentlessly. I fell in love with his family & wanted to be a part of it, not knowing what I know now. We honestly didn't know each other. We've been married 37 years now. I'm Eastern European, German, by ethnicity, blonde, green eyes & very fair skinned. He was born in P.I. & the Family came to the States to live the American dream & were very successful. They've retired & moved back to P.I. We visit them there.. so I've experienced the Culture. I found ( in general) Pinoys to be closed minded & very indoctrinated into Catholicism, whether they like it or not & most young ppl don't, they tell me. You were right about the lying.. by both Pinoy men & women. Another factor is my husband is a total Mama's Boy. You've mentioned how we women need to feel protected, the physical attributes of Caucasian men, their stature, etc. In my experience.... I now wish I'd married in my own race. I've missed the Tall handsome Caucasian men, the facial hair & a soft furry chest.. haha. My point being; get to know someone for a long time before jumping into any different culture. There is so much we don't know when we're young, so many things to consider if longterm. Physical features, food differences, Religious indoctrination ( them), the list goes on. My husband would've been much happier, also, if he'd chosen a Filipina in the longevity, he doesn't agree but I know this to be true.... be well..stay blessed. 💗
The language issue I resolved by learning enough tagalog to know what my wife is saying. Learning enough to get by isn't that hard. And it makes the locals happy that you've tried. The cultural differences can be annoying or funny. It's all according to how you look at it. Besides, a little frustration is worth what everything you get in return from your Filipina.
True. Personally i came to Thailand with intent to study Thai language in order to speak with Thai girlfriend/wife properly, because i cannot see how people manage relationships when they are unable to communicate their plans and feelings. My GF had zero skill in english, so we used translator at first, but later on i gained unreal amount of perks because of learning local language. Though, after some time living in Thailand i am now thinking about moving to Philippines, because it is impossible to get permament residency/citizenship in Thailand. A lot of people are afraid to learn additional languages and that's quite a shame.
It's all according to how you look at it. So IS life, So is life. Watching a Lot of these videos, there are people that got a perfect angel and there are people that got the perfect devil......and anything in between.
Another brilliant video....I wish you had started your chanel 6 years ago Pea 😅.....I've had to learn the hard way so much of the stuff you talk about 🤔😂❤
Thanks for the video Pea . From these questions it makes me think that some guys aren't paying attention to your previous videos . Yes you have gone over these things with us . Pay attention to the content of the videos guys , not just the scenery...
Agree with you entirely. This excuse of being innocent as long as you don't admit you're wrong will carry over to larger lies too. Trust is a basic foundation of any relationship. If you can't trust her to be truthful with you then you'll always be questioning everything. Better to end things and find someone more honest.
You guys are misunderstanding what she is saying. She is talking about Hiya. It’s the worst thing for a Filipina and they will do what they have to, including lie (often a lie of omission), to avoid it. It’s like death to them. And not understanding hiya is gonna mess up any relationship you have with a Filipina. Don’t expect it to last. I try very hard not to bring shame or embarrassment to my wife, and it’s difficult not to cause hiya, as a westerner, since I don’t know all of the rules. We’ve been married 22 years.
@@TheNativeTwo You can justify and rationalize all you want. Accountability is the highest form of respect... (Hiya) is about saving face which is the highest form of selfishness. If there is anything good or golden that Western culture can bring to the Philippines it's honesty.
I love watching your videos , I'm in a relationship with a filipina in cebu city going on 8 months now, she's wonderful amazing . and your videos also help me learn more of the culture differences, thank you so much, you are doing an amazing job .
@@walterpont2882 yeah I know . her family don't interfere in our relationship nor ask for money . thanks .. Ya I was keeping an eye out for red flags like that just in case
Appreciate the insight Pea. My great-grandfather fought to liberate the Philippines back in the 40's and I'd love to visit the country he fought to save. You look absolutely gorgeous btw, hope you and Jen are doing great
Great video. Scottish guys can be hard to understand. Back in my military days, I was sitting at breakfast with 3 other Americans, a Scott and and Englander. The Scott said something, we looked at the Englander. His reply, "Don't look at me, I didn't understand what he said either." Accents can get away from people. I'm from South Carolina and my southern accent has gotten deep when I'm around my family, or had too many Red Horses!
Thanks Pea your videos are always interesting. I find myself looking forward to them twice a week. I always wondered why some Filipinas dressed a little extreme when they are with a westerner. I didn’t know it was because they assumed the westerners liked it that way. See you next time Pea! 😁👍
Great one as always my gwapa friend pea Truth Bombs Dropping again great advice to all of us your subscribers you Look great in that outfit my gwapa Higala Pea have an awesome Adlaw Sa Dios Until next time Love Lots
That was a good video. I spoke to filipina who was the breadwinner of her whole family and when she was in relationship with a foreigner, she was afraid to post about it cause all her cousins and uncles start showing up looking for handouts, thinking she was rich now. Lol
I don't expect the girl I correspond with to be bragging to her friends. Until we meet in person we're both just digital ghosts. I have tracked down as many of her social media accounts as I can find. If she's a party animal she hides it well.
There is not a week that goes by, that my Filipina wife of 8 years does not receive a message from a relative asking for money. They always use the word borrow, but in the Philippines borrow means never pay back !!
When I began corresponding with my Filipina girlfriend two years ago, she said, “lying is the thing I hate the most”! Unfortunately, I took her at her word and now realize being called out on a lie is the thing she hates the most.🤣
YOU ...are SUCH A JOY to watch that words can not describe it !! I AN CONSTANTLY AMAZED at how well you present the REAL world and how practical too !! U R Da BEST Pea !! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
Thanks Pea very good information. Dishonesty is a cancer here and there. It would be very hard for me to have a relationship there with it Being ok to lie Probably would not last very long. I have a tendency to avoid folks who are less than honest.
Me too. I visited a girl in Botswana. We had been chatting online over 2 years. I discovered she smoked. She lied about it. Then other lies. I asked her to leave my accommodation within 24 hours of meeting her in person.
Unfortunately, honesty is high on my list of attributes. I understand it's a "culture thing"...but, it's a detrimental one. To me anyway. No amount of sex & beauty can overcome lies.
Its a cultural thing, Filipinos don’t see lying in the same way as Westerners. It’s no big deal for them, whereas many of us hate it after experiencing a lying ex. I tell them from the start, don’t even think about it.
I love it when you let us inside the minds of Filipinas, the good and the bad. I have never talked with one before, so this is invaluable information to me. I won't be so "fresh off the boat" when I get off the plane 🛬 . Lol
Love how you give it to us straight lovely Pea ❤️😘 I think you find bad people and cheaters in all cultures. Just need to try and make sure before too much commitment. (you said that Pea!). 🥰❤️
Haha, I love these Q&A sessions. My wife and I went through the ringer with the lying-over-little-stuff thing. One day, I just decided to lie about every single thing to see her reaction. It got the point across and I relayed to her a few instances where it could possibly be very dangerous to lie. We had much better conversations after that since she knew where I was coming from. There are still occasional times that I know she is "saving face" but they are much less frequent and don't really matter. Then, she always looks at me afterwards like she knows I will get her back. Ironically, she now calls out her friends and family for lying for no reason.
i just called my new girlfriend of 1 week out on a lie. she could see how it hurt me. i goasted her (tampo back at ya). She saw I was ready to dump her. I told her all about saving face, and I would dump her if she EVER LIED TO ME AGAIN.she admitted it, and I put a total stop to it. She now KNOWS IF SHE LIES I WILL CATCH HER. Then she will be alone again. You lie, and I am gone.
When the Filipinos around me aren't speaking English, I just smile, and wait for the opportunity to join in and speak some Tagalog. It never fails to catch them by surprise, and the shocked look on their face is always amusing to see. Of course, they immediately assume that I either have a Filipina wife or girlfriend, so if you're looking for a Filipina, it might be best to stick to English. 🤣
Yep, always shocks the locals when I answer back in Tagalog....for sure when they have been talking about you for 10 minutes, thinking you dont understand anything they are saying...ha
It's my dream to be fluent in Visayan and go through the whole day with a girl and her friend chit-chatting in their native tongue about me. And then I'll just chime in on a conversation after they've said something really nasty or embarrassing. "Yeah, I understood everything since the beginning." haha
No dude. I disagree. The more you use it (Tagalog) the better you get. If you speak the language, it shows you're serious about establishing a relationship and they will find you even more attractive. Lucky you!
My long distance filipina girlfriend changed her Facebook status from single to in a relationship with me the day we became official you're totally right about your opinion on that guy's situation that girl is definitely hiding something because Filipinas are proud and happy to tell everyone about their boyfriend 😁
Very good video. I have to compliment you on how well you speak english. Thank you for the information and the video. I enjoy your work. Keep up the good work. ❤️
The lying about the little things is probably the most distressing of the cultural difference. If I could give any advice to Filipinas its to try and be more honest with someone you are in a relationship with. For most western men communication is the key to having a long term relationship and lying makes communication difficult.
Facts can’t be honest I’m out. What they don’t one is there are a lot guys who will spend that bread if she asked for it. Or will try to act like they have money but really don’t.
Hi Pea. That was very interesting. My ex did 2 of those things you mentioned. First the language thing. She told all her friends English only please and in most cased they would stick to that but then slip back to their native language. For the most part this did not bother me too much as her friends would always speak to me in English and would translate for me if they saw I was interested in what was being said after all I was there to learn as much as I could about the Philippines. I remember going to a party there and not a lot of the people were speaking English but I still had a lot of fun. The other thing was there was a few times she expected that I should pay for snacks or food for all her friends. It was never a great amount but it adds up after a while. I have learned a lot from my trips to the Philippines and I know when I move there I will find things that will annoy me but that happens here too. Just have to take the good with the bad and one day at a time and enjoy life. BTW you look so lovely as always. Keep smiling and stay safe
Hello Pea! I been listen to your video's for a very long time. And have lived in Philippines for last 7 years. I am 68 years old. The one common denominator that seems to be addressed (and it needs to be) is the lack insight, wisdom, smarts (you name it) that a lot men lack concerning the women here that are not the right ones to get involved with. You cannot know someone by video's chaats alone. This amazes me and most of these guys are in their 50's or above. They lack what I call street smarts. I think you get the term. and while you can offer them advice for situations here about women they really need to learn. And not be moved by every pretty face filipina. You do a great job of exposing things and I would think that you would need a body guard (smile). Kasi the scamming women probably want you gone. I am thinking some of the things the guys need is common sense. they think with the wrong head. I hope they listen to your council and learn for themselves. if it looks like a leopard, smells like one and act like one, then run away!!!!
Pea, you are always entertaining and wise with your advice and comments. I've followed you from the beginning and I'm so happy (but not at all surprised) to see your success....267K subscribers....you Rock Girl!!!
If I am with Filipinos and they begin talking in their language, I just jokingly say, " just let me know when you start taking about me". Then laugh. Usually breaks any potential tension.
Thanks for sharing, Pea. I have gotten stuck with the dinner bill when I was in China. Honestly the bill came to $45 USD and it fed 10 adults and a few children and there were 10 1 liter bottles of beer on the table. You can't get 10 12oz bottles of beer for that price here in the states. Thing is everyone that ordered a beer ended up with 2 and I noticed this everywhere I went. I guess it was a cultural thing. I don't really drink all that much I prefer to be fully cognizant at all times. I don't know about someone asking me to get them pregnant. I am out of the baby making business, I had a vasectomy back in the 1990's. Anyway I prefer someone who already has children and have retired from baby making.
Must have been back in the day in China or in a small city. Nowadays China is nearing western levels of expense, especially in the big cities. Ph is a much better destination, although less opportunities for employment.
For me, it has nothing to do with the cost. It's all about the "expectation." If they don't even ask if it's ok PRIOR to coming out, it's really rude. And then being lavish because it's not their money is another thing I don't like.
I love the way you end with a laugh for your audience, it keeps them hooked right until the very last sound you make. I think you are doing a wonderful job with the delivery of your information and hope you keep it up with the energetic and humorous delivery as well. Much love From Canada
Another great episode Pea! The language barrier is a challenge and I've struggled to learn Bisaya. Although I understand the spoken language for the most part my speech is still baby talk. pagsulti sama sa usa ka bata :) I understand the "saving face" culture here and I insisted on a "no secrets no lies" approach going into our relationship with my girl. After 3 years although we've had misunderstandings I've never caught her in a lie. Yes she dresses like she's going to a nightclub because she wants to! :)
For 99 percent of Americans loose the make up we love your skin I have 35 years of experience filipina are beautiful especially when they don't use makeup
The point is most Asian women dont need to use makeup and they dont start getting lots of wrinkles from the age of 30 This is not the same for European women who need to use make-up to hide all their blemishes
To the Scotsman.. Learn the language and don't tell anyone until you are totally annoyed...then jump in. It usually changes the mood quickly. Especially when you say something after they were talking about you. Cebuano is not hard. Waray is a bit tougher. Just remember that you don't want sili when speaking waray.. Unless that's your thing 😂
Haha yeah, I got in a bit of trouble saying "silly" as I called my then girlfriend "silly" and both her parents perked up and my girlfriend immediately corrected me.
I once said "bisong" in front of my gf's mom thinking it meant something else. It gets tricky when you're learning a bunch of words at the same time when they're both normal and bastos.
When I first went to the Philippines to meet a girl who I had been writing to (yes, writing. That was what you did then) it was like I suddenly became some sort of rock star. Wherever I went it was like all the female eyes were on me. (Very bemusing to someone who nobody wanted back at home, however, I wasn't complaining!) However this did reach somewhat distressing extremes when mothers would basically propose to me on behalf of their daughters. These would be complete strangers on the street! When I have been over there with my wife, she will sometimes forget that I don't understand Cebuano, so I don't know what they were discussing even though I was physically there. When I am reasonably sure they are discussing something I should be in on, such as travel arrangements, my usual tactic is to ask if someone would please translate for my benefit. That usually switched the conversation back to English.
After being in a relationship with several people from the Philippines. I have definitely come across a good portion of these. Thankfully your friends from the Philippines can always assist you in the situation. Thank you for the information always, and I look forward to your next video as always.
I sent my wife to Philippines to buy a house within a budget - she totally has blown the budget out of the water ! I’m order to keep the peace (and love life ) I finally had to admit it was my fault that it’s totally more than she told me it would be - Because I sent her there to do the project !
Love your Q&A segments, your honest answers are insightful (did I use that word right?) anyways...Thanks for another great video and ended w/ one of my faves...the Leah bit!
Pea thank you for another informative video. I know here in the United States there’s a difference in dialect from one part of the country to the other. What is said in the southern US can be completely different in the northern US, not to mention the accents varying from one part of the country to the other as well. Looking forward to Friday’s video with everyone’s favorite legal expert and hope in some point in time that you can provide an update or video on how your parents house is coming along.
Had a similar situation with the last guy except it was five months into our relationship, because one of her family members friened me and I responded, she scrubbed me off her relationship status on FB. She claimed her family members were investigating me as the reason for doing it. We only lasted 6 months because her friends and family were interfering in the relationship.
I've found it's always a good idea to ask your filipina gf if you should accept FB requests from her family and friends, especially if they are single and pretty.
Pea, you REALLY freaked me out when you suddenly started speaking your language! I've heard it before, but you were speaking to other Filipinas, so it was expected. To suddenly start speaking to "us" in videoland in your language was kind of trippy. I was like "wait, what the hell just happened here?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Too funny.
It’s very unfortunate about the “lying culture” in the Philippines. I’ve been there six different times and even considered making a Filipina my wife. After so many times and catching them in lie after lie I decided “lying” was a way of life there. The lies made me decide against marrying one of them as well as being considered as a source of money for everything under the sun and every emergency real or made up. Hopefully Pea can help to change this way of living unless she lives the same way of life which I’ve thought she doesn’t from seeing her videos. That being said there’s many good things about the people there which are evident early on if you visit there.
@@TheFilipinaPea Thank you for the reply! I didn’t think that “the lying culture” was your style, that’s the main reason I subscribed to your channel. What made me interested to marry a Filipina in the first place was the emphasis on “family”, taking care of the parents and of course that the man is the “head of the family” not to mention the Filipina’s natural beauty and femininity. I always thought that children with parents from both sides of western culture and eastern culture would be honest, forthright, ambitious, take care of family and of course be very attractive which is always a bonus for any person who possesses those traits. Of course anything can be taken “too far.” In the west it’s all about being independent, to the point and parents never expect their children to take care of them. In the Philippines it’s all about saving face, even if it requires lies to do so, older children take care of the younger siblings and the parents expect the children to take care of them. My take is, tell like it is, no lies! Take care of yourself, first! Reason being if you don’t take care of yourself how can you take care of anyone else? If you fly on a plane they tell tell you to put “your” oxygen mask on first. If you don’t, how will you have the oxygen to take care of anyone else? At the same time, never forget about those around you, especially your family! If anyone has children for the simple reason that the children take care of them is selfish and disgusting! Again, all cultures have good and bad things to learn from each other. It us up to all of us to try and “meld” the positive traits together and eliminate the negative traits. It takes work and understanding from both sides…
Everybody is an individual. I have met quite a few there who would not lie to save their lives. I have met people who refuse to accept help with money even when facing a life of unhappiness because of it. If one woman does not meet your requirements, move on to another.
Thank you for all your videos. As an autist, I have difficulties with social norms in my own culture. I have tried dating a few filipina, both in my home country and in the Philippines. I always thought things were going well, until they weren't. Your videos make it clear why things haven't worked out. I don't want to change and don't expect the person I'm dating to change either. Your videos have lead me to date a person I never thought I would and I'm extremely happy. Probably not what you intended but marrying a filipina isn't for me. I remain friends with a few Filipinos (male and female) but romantically not the right fit for me.
Thanks Pea for another great and humorous video. I think every foreigner that has been in the Philippines has been hit with the wealth tax a time or two. That guy that bought the shovels was great. I had some of my wife's siblings waiting to get married until we come back.... Maybe I'll try just buying some birth control pills, so they realize I don't want to pay for the wedding or any future babies.
As a Filipina speaks 5 languages it's easy to express your reaction or emotion to your mother tongue. That's why it's hard to speak in English when you're angry I just say "Ay ambot! *****" Language barrier is difficult so that we appreciate foreigner's learning our language, because not all Filipinos can speak English.
@Lil Miss Jean, you took the words right out of my mouth. A lot of Americans feel like they qualify as the most important person in the room and expect to be catered to to the point of not ALLOWING everyone else to speak their mother tongue. My first language challenge was when I was stationed in Germany. So I took a couple German language classes and it made my assignment in Berlin much better than I could've imagined. I'd recommend either learning the language, not going along or realizing it's not all about him. Pretty sure one of those options would be much more appreciated than all of them having to speak English for him. Just saying...
My wife also speaks 5 languages. I only speak English but learning to understand a little Visayan. However, my wife's friends also speak Tagalog so that loses me. She can also speak some Arabic and Spanish. When she talks in her sleep, you never know what will come out...LOL.
I've been married to a filipina for a few years now and still there's no way in hell she will admit to a lie even though I catch her outright. So infuriating
Curious. I'm married to an American and I think because I'm also upfront like him so we don't really have this lying issue. Is it okay to ask for examples? I'm surprised other men here are saying the same thing so looks like this is kinda common but something I'm not aware of. That's not good.
That last one always gets me. No way could I get into an online relationship, never mind getting engaged. I'll never understand it. Call me a skeptic, but if I have never seen the whites of your eyes in person, nothing is happening.
The lie thing... I think filipinas hide a lot of things, sometimes lie or sometimes doesnt tell you what they really think, just say "haha" or stop replying, Im sure not all do the same, but a high number of filipinas Ive chat do that and really annoys me, Im transparent with them, and its imposible to win their trust with someones.
That's the problem. You are online dating/chatting. Guaranteed to deal with married women, ladyboys, scammers, single moms hiding that they are moms. Dont do it. Just go there.
Hey there Pea! This was really funny to see. Luckily my Filipina and I have known each other for many years now and we're very open about most things. There are a few things that still expose the cultural gap though. She's tough as nails and finds it difficult to ask for help in emotional matters. But then because I know her well and usually I'm able to pry a little and it all comes out eventually. She's in the Philippines visiting family right now btw. Sampaloc, Rizal, Tanay if you have ever heard of it. Next year we're going together but we'll stay in a hotel. I'm not crazy about roosters in the morning 😜🤣🤣
I do enjoy your videos and I am mentally preparing myself for those cultural differences, but being multilingual already I have learned a few things in my years. I suspect that my linguistic prowess would serve me well over there. Especially if I can get an impartial teacher so that I am able to learn apart from a GF. I have many hilarious stories of people looking at me and assuming I don't speak their language. I know a buddy of mine learned Tagalog from Rosetta Stone and got very proficient, but that doesn't cover dialects like, Vasaya, Basaya, Cebuano and I forget all the others. 88 distinct and recognized dialects and hundreds of lesser is just mind boggling. I bet even the Amazing Filipina Pea only knows a few. So next time is the lawyer...either more legal issues or new info on travel, but that is usually your Filipino source...well counting the time until the next Pea~
Yes, there are way too many dialects for anyone to now them all (I only speak 5), so let's just al speak English or Tagalog - it doesn't mater what language it is, as long as we all speak the same one! 👍
Wuao pea i still remember when i went to the Philippines 🇵🇭a few years ago , i was in a department store and a few of the female employees approached me to get to know me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣luckily i was with my fiance and she scare them away 🤣🤘😁
Regarding the table conversation in local dialect, men are usually expected to be the "strong silent" type in most Asian cultures. Chatty men are seen as less masculine. And men talk to men and women talk to women. So I'd try to sit next to a Filipino guy at the table and have a conversation in English and let the ladies chat comfortably in their local dialect.
I'm not entirely convinced that such is the right approach, Steven, having been in situations where the women were talking in their own language about their extra-marital escapades while we, foreigners, were talking in our language about work and politics. They knew we wouldn't understand it anyway.
@@homebasebelgium359 The worst example I experienced of that was at an office Christmas party in Korea. One of my coworkers spoke fluent Korean, unbeknownst to the Korean wives. One of the wives was trashing her husband right in front of him. Sad.
I love the exit skits... I grew up with Star Trek and Star Wars... love the videos as well! Working on a trip to the Philippines with an eye on moving there... Thank you for giving us real information.

Awwww, I've asked u many questions too but didn't pick me ...soooo sad lol!! Good video tho
..no worries Ms Pea.,,,,I have not talk to any Filipina over a year LOL
do you have an email for questions?
I have two rules:
1. do not steal from me!
2. do not lie to me!
and lying is the theft of the truth! (see rule number one!)
Thanks for another insightful video, Pea! You look sensational in that dress! :)
I've been married to a filipina for 20 years... I still learn a few things from you Pea... i wish a lot of this information was available to me years ago... it sure would have made things easier in our relationship.
the book "culture shock" helped me years ago & i think it's still in print
Truth, it would have been great to have all this great information from Pea before marrying my wife also. Would have made it much easier.
NO DOUBT!
She turned to look me in the eye and stated rather dramatically, "No you go fark yourself okay?" Although shocked at first, seeing as I had grown accustomed to her pronunciation of English words, I quickly regained my composure and simply parked the car myself...
cool
😳🤔😊👍
Funny yet gut wrenching at the same time. One time I was with my wife at the time, unfortunately not a Filipina , and she seemingly sincerely told me I was the best husband in the world and one minute later exploded at me and said she wanted a divorce. I brought it up a few years later and she said “ it’s not true “ ,I never said that “ my ex wife’s emotional I.Q. Is that of a toddler 😢
Life tip. Never teach anyone to drive 😂 For your own safety and for any relationship you might have with the person ... leave it to the pros. 😊 Even if you have to pay for it.

Too late now Ms Dinero !
Please continue reading letters. I love the enlightenment, Perspective and expertise. Thumbs up !!!
Totally agree. You have to meet your Filipina half way... put in the effort to learn her dialect.

Haha, you knocked it out of the park once again. And you looked stunning in that dress while doing so.... 😀
I disagree ...a lie is a lie... leave her on the side of the road and look for an honest woman period
Agree with you entirely. This excuse of being innocent as long as you don't admit you're wrong will carry over to larger lies too. Trust is a basic foundation of any relationship. If you can't trust her to be truthful with you then you'll always be questioning everything. Better to end things and find someone more honest.
Yes dishonesty can never be accepted……. Trust is key

Great video. Scottish guys can be hard to understand. Back in my military days, I was sitting at breakfast with 3 other Americans, a Scott and and Englander. That was a good video. I spoke to filipina who was the breadwinner of her whole family and when she was in relationship with a foreigner, she was afraid to post about it cause all her cousins and uncles start showing up looking for handouts, thinking she was rich now. Lol
I know that theory 😏. Dealing with it right now.
I don't expect the girl I correspond with to be bragging to her friends. Until we meet in person we're both just digital ghosts. I have tracked down as many of her social media accounts as I can find. If she's a party animal she hides it well.

Unfortunately, honesty is high on my list of attributes. I understand it's a "culture thing"...but, it's a detrimental one. To me anyway. No amount of sex & beauty can overcome lies.

Completely agree!!!! Honesty and faithfulness are the 2 most important traits for me.

Its a cultural thing, Filipinos don’t see lying in the same way as Westerners. It’s no big deal for them, whereas many of us hate it after experiencing a lying ex. I tell them from the start, don’t even think about it.
Agree big time. If she says she's at work and then she's at Mom's all day, not ok at all.

Wow, thanks Suzy ❤️👍
Haha, I love these Q&A sessions. My wife and I went through the ringer with the lying-over-little-stuff thing. One day, I just decided to lie about every single thing to see her reaction. It got the point across and I relayed to her a few instances where it could possibly be very dangerous to lie. We had much better conversations after that since she knew where I was coming from. There are still occasional times that I know she is "saving face" but they are much less frequent and don't really matter. Then, she always looks at me afterwards like she knows I will get her back. Ironically, she now calls out her friends and family for lying for no reason.
I have done the same. Lied my ass off. With the shoe on the other foot things changed quickly.
i just called my new girlfriend of 1 week out on a lie. she could see how it hurt me. i goasted her (tampo back at ya).

Yep, always shocks the locals when I answer back in Tagalog....for sure when they have been
talking about you for 10 minutes, thinking you dont understand anything they are saying...ha
Lucky you!
All good advice. We foreigners should take heed to your outlook on this.
Absolutely right.
Great video Pea You are the best -- I could listen to your advice all day !
Thank you! I so appreciate your friendly demeanor and articulate helpfulness!
You hit the nail right on the head! That's why the saying "Nice but stupid Kano".

If I am with Filipinos and they begin talking in their language, I just jokingly say, " just let me know when you start taking about me". Then laugh. Usually breaks any potential tension.
Great advice in regards to always paying the full dinner bill.
Just don’t tell about the vasectomy .......... 😉
stephen, can I ask why you prefer someone who already has kids? are they different to single women?
Must have been back in the day in China or in a small city. Nowadays China is nearing western levels of expense, especially in the big cities. Ph is a much better destination, although less opportunities for employment.
No. When in China they are supposed to pay for you. They were scamming you.
Good on you for making the effort. I am sure it is much appreciated by the locals and shows respect.
I love your witty humor. I find that attractive.
Keep the videos coming little pea .. loving how informative they are ..thankyou
I think I can be a little silly, even (or especially) in Waray. Mine said 'It's good to be silly', well actually gu ti ay silly (her translation).
I once said "bisong" in front of my gf's mom thinking it meant something else. It gets tricky when you're learning a bunch of words at the same time when they're both normal and bastos.
Why would you hold that a secret? I would use the dialect every chance I get... best way to improve, unless you're intentions are to be sneaky.
As always very educational. I wish I was coming to the Philippines. Keep up the good work.
I once had a store owner offer me money to marry his daughter. I politely declined but I'll never forget how weird that was.
After being in a relationship with several people from the Philippines. I have definitely come across a good portion of these. Thankfully your friends from the Philippines can always assist you in the situation. Thank you for the information always, and I look forward to your next video as always.

I honestly thought she'd pull that off earlier than she did.
Thanks again my love...great video...
I absolutely don’t live that way, and I consider all lies to be wrong. I think the obsession with ‘saving face’ is a stain on our culture
When you come across people who have no money ….you will always get screwed ‼️
They lie for the reason you jog. Just to stay in practice
Thank you for your excellent discussion.

As a Filipina speaks 5 languages it's easy to express your reaction or emotion to your mother tongue. That's why it's hard to speak in English when you're angry I just say "Ay ambot! *****"
Language barrier is difficult so that we appreciate foreigner's learning our language, because not all Filipinos can speak English.
Ambot! Samoka oy!
My 2 favorite words to hear my Filipina say :)
My wife also speaks 5 languages. I only speak English but learning to understand a little Visayan. However, my wife's friends also speak Tagalog so that loses me. She can also speak some Arabic and Spanish. When she talks in her sleep, you never know what will come out...LOL.
Ay ambot nimo dong 🤣
Very pretty 💕
Very informative and current. Very practical. Thank you Pea. You are the best💥💥💥
OMG the lying is the worse and they are not even good at it😮😮
And they get angry at you when they get busted..Very unusual behavior😮
@@davidbishop9067 i know right....the lying is just to much to deal with
@@davidbishop9067 my God so true...
You handled that last question very diplomatically! Kudos!
That last one always gets me. No way could I get into an online relationship, never mind getting engaged. I'll never understand it. Call me a skeptic, but if I have never seen the whites of your eyes in person, nothing is happening.
I found two that would change your mind and that you could never find in person there. Shame. Get online skill!
Im 19 and i thought she would wait for me forever haha…. Aaaa if only i hadnt lost my factory job.
Thanks Miss Filipina Pea. Always nice watching honest videos from a pretty and attractive young Asian girl. Take care and stay blessed.
Pea, ur videos are extremely valuable and I for one appreciate them
The lie thing...
Another great informative video from the (Gem) Pea! Keep them coming, maybe I can smoke you a Texas brisket while I'm in Dumaguette in July!
Love you Pea. Always, great advice. Take care. 😊
@@TheFilipinaPea I would like to spend a week in your country for vacation at the beach without noise Where do I go?
Filipina pea is so professional
in all of her videos, she really is outstanding.
Wuao pea i still remember when i went to the Philippines 🇵🇭a few years ago , i was in a department store and a few of the female employees approached me to get to know me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣luckily i was with my fiance and she scare them away 🤣🤘😁
Approached you to ask if you needed help . It's thier job .
They do it with everyone.
Pea. You are truly a fine woman. So knowledgeable, inquisitive,. I love your channel. Keep posting, and stay beautiful. God bless you and your family.
Sad.
A video full of good information. Thanks.
So sad listening to that clueless guy at the end who obviously got scammed
I love the exit skits... I grew up with Star Trek and Star Wars... love the videos as well! Working on a trip to the Philippines with an eye on moving there... Thank you for giving us real information.
