UA Rise 16U vs Lightning Defenders 7 12 24

After having played in the nice venue with the good referees and scorekeepers in the morning we were back in our original venue. This time we had a new set of 'trainee' refs and they did not help us. Basically gave the other team 6 points and took away our shot at shooting two free throws with 1 second left at the end of regulation. We ended up losing by 3 in overtime. Very disappointing to have to have such an uphill battle against the referees at such a big tournament but it would become a them for us. Still, we've been competitive in every game and go into day 3 with a 2-2 record. And after the game a bunch of the kids and parents enjoyed a nice meal at a nice Italian place about 10 minutes from the hotel. Have to refuel for the next two games tomorrow.
