    I'm curious to see what they do when SL comes visiting. It would be pretty suicidal to put in rank turners against Prabath Jayasuria and co.

    • @Yesaps
      @Yesaps 9 днів тому +14

      Also SL's current batting against spin is much better. They are an in-form team.

      Since they don't have pace bowlers or batters, isn't it better to produce a lottery wicket?
      By that the sheer volatility atleast gives them so much chances

      They beat SL in SL on spinning wickets last time they visit SL.

      @@MuhammadSalmanAbbasi I would argue that the difference is that Pak has declined since then and SL has improved.

      @MuhammadSalmanAbbasi and get y did they drop noman! But that old shaheen, even naseem and esp abrar aren't there anymore. Also they weren't rank turners and somehow SL choked like they kept doing in the last decade. But last 1 year they are playing much better cricket!

    India thoroughly deserve all their losses for rigging the pitches this extreme. Even the NZ series was a version of the Pune test. Whatever happened to 350-400 being scored in first innings by both teams across 2.5-3 days!

      Lol classic Indian made to insult their own cricket. 🤣🤣 barring 1-2 tank turners most pitches were usual spin tracks. If SA and Eng cant play spin and shit bricks on such pitches, blaming pitches is a bad excuse.

    Pakistan batted poorly in the 1st innings and could've done with some lower order runs of their own from someone like Aamir Jamal...they plan was to bank on Sajjid n Noman for some runs too but Noman couldn't n Sajjid ran out of partners.

    pakistan have no direction, the first class structure is shambolic, and they dont play enough tests for anyone to learn on the job. so they are taking wild punts, and to be honest 2-1 against England and 1-1 against WI is not bad for a team this weak. the lack of batting talent is glaring, saud shakil is quality but he will fall apart if he needs to hold the batting together every innings. what Pakistan need to do is learn how to cook the pitches more judiciously. having said that big props to west indies, they've won a good few tests no one was expecting them to win away from home over the last year or two. warrican outbowled the Pakistani spinners and made the most of the toss advantage.
    both teams need to play at least 3 or 4 more tests a year to develop, and without that they'll both keep propping up the bottom of the WTC.

      Dont think he should be dropped but the player is inconsistent and not good. Good example for comparison is KL Rahul. Both Babar and KL are sort of similar kind of player

      Agreed. Being dropped isn’t like forgetting him or anything. Let him get somr time, work on it, improve then prove and then come back if he can.
      So many players make a come back stronger than ever, I hope he does too

    These wickets ALWAYS make lesser spinners deadly. In India's case, those lesser spinners are (or were) called Ashwin and Jadeja. You take these type of wickets away, and you'll find that Ashwin is not better than Moeen Ali, and Jadeja is no better than Mitch Santner.

    • @nikunjdixit3225
      @nikunjdixit3225 8 днів тому +1

      Maybe go back in history and check. Ashwin and Jadeja were taking truckloads of wickets even before Ind start making wickets like in Pune with the advent of the WTC.

    • @FFBDFAHIM7529
      @FFBDFAHIM7529 7 днів тому

      Wickets don't make anyone deadly, it's just that the players know how to use it. Like for instance, Ashwin on a spinning surface. He be like the best in the world, but he is, bc he knows how to use the wicket. On a flat surface, spinners don't just have a lot to work on but Ashwin still delivers and so does Rashid Khan and say Bishnoi

      @@FFBDFAHIM7529 And in one Test match Santner took more wickets than Ashwin took in the entire series.
      Imagine if Santner had the opportunity to play on such wickets throughout his career. Also, Santner was bowling against batsmen who have had exposure to spin bowling from the onset of their careers, and honed their skills in playing spin.
      Ashwin was bowling against Batsmen who get limited opportunity against spin.
