I've often wondered if Belle and Rumple would have found their happy ending in the Enchanted Forest if the story had changed just a slight bit. For instance, what if it had been Gaston to meet up with Belle on the road and "took" her back to her father unwillingly? Would Rumple have realized that she had been taken and go look for her or would he thinks she would have left like he thought in the first place?
