K-55 1/10 RC Rally Truck - Full Details & Breakdown!

- The K-55 was a huge project that we worked on for months. After the first build, the M-55, we were anxious to begin on a new bigger, more feature-packed custom build. Using some of the best parts in the industry, we created a 3D-printed 1/10 Rally Truck like you'd see charging through the deserts in the Dakar Rally or the Russian highlands of the Silk Way Rally. It's big, it's bad and it backs up its awesome looks with awesome performance. Just like the full size, it takes a beating and keeps on trucking.

Been kicking it around, but it doesn't fit anything other than the chassis we made for it, so it's not that easy to just sell the files. I also don't want a kit coming out shortly after we let files out of our control.

Ive just got into RC crawlers and i bought a 1/18 ftx unitrak. Its got a unimog style cab. I thought that'd look good with a scratch built Dakar truck style rear end.

You definitely got the suspension right , it looks 1:1 when you see it running , you would think it was a full size truck , just saw this on SBG best of 2019 and just found it on your channel . A++ ty

That would be amazing if you released or even sold instructions and the print files for this truck.
The print files won't be for sale. Parts possibly in the future, but they really aren't ready to go as-is. These trucks take weeks, months to print, hand finish and assemble.
@@TekinRacing Some of us are dedicated and techy' enough to make it :) Full credit would be given.
@@hkwdk I second this. The surface side of RC seems way behind the air side in it's use and openness of 3d printed parts.
@@ObsidianFPV Well there are some groups, but but focused on very few existing cars or some proof of concept rc cars.
Would like to see more designs for rc cars for sure.

Absolutely amazing !! But I don't understand the reluctance in making files available? I've been in the race quad and long range wing scene for many years and really have enjoyed the open source nature of it. The surface world seems to be completely closed. It's a shame really.

We couldn't either, so we made our own. There are some 1/12 and 1/14 kits out there from companies like RC4WD and JD Model.

Why don't you mass produce it and sell it?
Lots of reasons, the biggest being it takes a long time to even print out all the parts.
@@TekinRacing because a lot of people really like the build so i guess so i guess you dont need to think if it will sell or not.
I know they like the build and I'd love to be able to offer it for sale. I just can't at this moment, not saying it won't ever happen.

These are one-off custom built trucks, there is no kit for them.

I'm not sure you'll find any honestly. Maybe some body stuff but not everything it would take to put one together.

About how much did it cost you to make it because it's awsome!!!!!
About $3000 in parts, electronics and materials and a lot of time. I can't really put a number on it but probably $7K or around there!
