How To Troubleshoot Carrier 30XA |Cooler Flow Switch Setpoint Configuration Failure Alarm|

In this tutorial we will explain how to troubleshoot cooler flow switch setpoint configuration failure alarm.
After checking the current alarm, make sure the flow switch 5 pin connector and cable are in good condition by performing continuity test.
Step 2 is to make sure there are 24 volt ac on the power supply connector video.
Step 3 make sure the grey wire is connected well as shown
Step 4 is to check the flow switch relay wires white and black are having 24 volt ac each.
After confirming all above then go to menu and enter master access password 88 , than go to configuration and enter the service menu
Scroll down to flow switch setpoint and make sure the setpoint is selected as per chiller model shown in the chart. To change the setpoint press enter and change to the required value and press enter again to save.

We have Trane RAU 500 & 600 Air cooled Condenser Units. On RAU500 It is showing COMM LOSS: ....... For every transducers and temperature sensors. First I thought that the card might be faulty so I replaced the power communication card from RAU600. But still it's the same.

Basically in Trane units each time you disconnects or install a new sensor / Transducer you need to bind it using the trane techview below is the link of the video on how to bind a device after replacement in Trane units
