  • Come along with me for the last day of the world renowned 2022 AQS Quilt Show that took place April 27-30, 2022 where hundreds of quilts were on display. This vlog style video captures me ooing and awing over quilts from all over the world. You will also see what quilting/sewing items I purchased from the many retailers there selling their wares. Enjoy!

The quilts there were unbelievable. The work that people put into them is extraordinary. I can only hope to have some of that skill and talent. Maybe one day.

Thanks so much for filming this quilt show. Mom used to go every time it was held and she’s just not able to go anymore. She’s made so many gorgeous quilts for us all and they hand quilted them at her church, donating the proceeds to help the needy. Sadly she’s not able to do it anymore but she will enjoy watching this, it means a lot to her .

If I could just add one thing everybody was so nice to say it was beautifully filmed. I stopped watching it at eight minutes and 49 seconds because I was getting sick and a headache from how jerky and fast you were moving. 😢 I love watching these “shows that I can’t make it too and I’m always a little bit sorry when I can’t watch that much movement without getting quizy , I do appreciate your attempt & the quilts were really beautiful. I wish people would be a little bit more honest so that you would know when you’re filming one of these events that certain things that you can do would’ve made it a much more enjoyable experience I think they were just being overly nice and not telling you what would’ve been a good thing so no meanness intended I would love to have wwatched the rest of it.

For all of the folks who visit these quilt shows and kindly share them with the rest of us, PLEASE Slow down filming of these quilts so we can marvel at all the hard work. Pretty much everyone goes way too fast and the beauty of these quilts is lost.

Thank you. Enjoyed your video. I used to live in Louisville, KY in the 70s, and belonged to AQS too. I took quilting classes in Eugene, OR from The Pioneer Quilters. Those older ladies taught me a lot about quilting. Back then it was hand piecing and quilting. We’ve come a long way in machine use now. Take care and hope you are doing well.
