I think the tranquility pattern would be beautiful with those fabrics. I would use it because of being such a perfect pairing. I would do the blocks the same color in the block.

I had the same foot pedal issue on and finally! I stumbled on using a small rubber backed rug I had and then put a strip of the hook side of Velcro on the underside of the pedal that sticks to the rug beautifully. I was thrilled. I thought I would go crazy chasing that pedal 🤦♀️. I enjoyed your video very much. Don’t expect so much from yourself. You do a LOT! I am learning to use my new sewing machine and it’s time consuming. I can’t imagine doing a UA-cam channel, learning long arming and EQ8 all at once plus regular life! I think we all want to do more than what is possible. Me for sure!☺️

Layer Cake Lily is a great "free youtube pattern" from the FQS. Make sets and if don't like, mix up and see that layout. Scraps would be pretty, fall colors, monotones, etc. Congrats on the sale of your Humane Society Quilt! I think you got a good price esp. with today's economy, but even better, it was for a great cause!

I think each flower would look better all same color. And if you add a contrasting "corner stone: in middle of the flower (within the sashing) it will add more flower definition 😊
The EQ8 rabbit-hole-time-sucker is a reality …. But so much fun! I have used EQ to design for several years and still learn something new with each adventure. My favorite suggestion to newbies … just turn it on and play! Once you cross over the intimidation threshold, EQ is a user friendly package.

Just Finished the quilt top and now I'm waiting for the next parts to hopefully finish my first quilt. I'm considering the heart one you're working on but also really like the Lily one. But I also don't care for the lighter colors. Am worried it's not for a beginner. I'm in love with your Bird themed quilt.
Yes, UA-cam has made many changes. I no longer have a library. It’s called you, but it doesn’t show much of my history anymore and almost all of the channels that I’ve been subscribed to for years they’ve taken away the community tab. Very frustrating. I’m an early riser also and enjoy my quiet coffee time watching your videos
I think that is a great idea to use the Tranquility, such a beautiful line. You would still have enough left for at least a Fat 8th quilt. Are those bolts more than 15 yards or all bolts 15 yards? I have only bought a bolt of white from FQS. Oh my goodness the Apple Quilt changed the whole look of the area! So bright and festive. Beautiful.
I’d make each block with 2 colors either complimentary or opposite colors . It’d be absolutely amazing if the entire quilt was done in one color but different shade of said color but since you’re using stash (beautiful stash that you have) I’d go with the above suggestion 😂. You really made me laugh with your foot pedal issues I hear you GF and I have added another small issue to the problem a teacup chihuahua puppy so not only do I lose my pedal when I go to drag it back there’s a little boy right under my foot 😉hopefully I don’t squash him 🐶🤦🏼♀️he’s such a good quilting buddy loves eating all the scraps chewing on containers any mischief he can find 😂😂
I use shelf liner under my foot pedal. It is a soft, bumpy, rubbery material, sold at Walmart in a roll, Beige, Black, White. I put it under rugs to make non-slip and have it across the dash of my car to keep things like my sun glasses, grocery list or envelope from sliding off and onto the floor. I even use it for Shelf Liner in my cabinets.
Lol… i am a get up slow kinda gal…not as much as i used to be..4 am was not unusual for me..these days since retiring…5:30-6am is my natural rising time! Am doing layer cake lily too, love your fabric! I dont allow myself more than 3 works in progress without knocking another out… i dont know if that helps you get things done but🤷🏻♀️. Im excited to hear how you like EQ,be sure and up date us all when you do…you can do it…do it💪🏽
Good morning ☕ Oh my it's been a long time since I've seen a Big Gulp cup , haven't been to a 7-11 in probably 30 years or more when I took my sister.. I was carded and sis piped up and told cashier "and she has 7 kids too!!" I was soooo embarrassed 😅 Layer Cake Lilly I think would be pretty done each flower same fabric instead of variety like they did. You show up here at 3am, I'm always awake by 1 -1:30 but force myself to stay in bed until at least 2, sometimes like today I pushed 3am.😊 I ordered the "Putty" awhile back that will be my background for a lot of projects, I like how it makes certain things look vintage? I haven't done anything for fall decor yet, I have a really cute scarecrow panel to work on but I'm working on making patterns for 3 different size crockpot covers for my daughter.. been a challenge. I would never go on Temu as they are a Chinese company and easy for them to access your personal data. I love Green Fairy Quilts and Fort Worth Fabric Studio. You have to be patient with delivery but worth the savings as no sales tax. FWFS has free shipping. GFQ also has free shipping for purchases over $75 which is easy to reach. Both of their sale prices are excellent and a great savings.
I have an issue with my foot pedal wandering and have tried several things ...gardener's knee pad is an idea..cement floor In Canada....our fabric is $$$$$$
Have you been to Fairview KY? Country Lane Quilts have a lot of very good prices on older collections and bits and pieces. Carrolls Quilting in Greenville KY have pallets of Free Spirit fabric they are selling for $45 a bolt. Not the very latest collections but very nice. They sell it for $5 a yard of bolt is cut.

This is a shed and we put cabin grade seconds wood flooring down. Not ideal to stick something to it, but it would not be the end of the world if I couldn’t clean it back off.

I would say the Lily is easier than the hearts. But both are beginner friendly.

I put a handweight/dumb bell behind my foot. I think it’s a 5 or 8 lb one. Isn’t perfect but works well and cheap solution!

I haven’t! Those sound like great deals. Looks to be about 1 1/2 hours away.
I have EQ8. I use just the basics. Don't need to know all the elements to get a lot of use from the program.
