Bonjour. Thanks for another informative and entertaining video. You can’t change history but we can learn from it and shouldn’t be afraid to talk about it. Merci encore. Love your channel. You two are precious. 💙🤍❤️
The Morgan cars are gorgeous! Thank you for this wonderful day trip! I really appreciate all of Mr. Boo’s fun facts! How wonderful to live in a country with local markets everywhere! Our supermarkets are mostly just filled with junk. Pleased to hear that they’ve ended bullfighting. I have never understood the mentality that it’s fun and entertaining to watch people hurting animals. I don’t understand the mentality of watching people hurt each other either. The church was exceptional. It’s interesting to picture people worshiping there for so long. Tim, I hope your recovery is going well. Love from Vermont
Halloween had to pay 12€!!!! I hope his breakfast was included. Well, that was another wonderful video. Now I have to go back to shoveling snow. My head will be full of Tim, Mr. Boo, Halloween, and the beautiful town of Frejus.
Thanks for the view of the Morgans. I live just a mile from the Morgan works and often see people from mainland Europe collecting their new cars. Interesting video as always. Thanks again. Maurice from Malvern UK.
love these roman constructions and the wine building is amazing, the old neighbourhood, love it all and Mr. Boo fax, pardon :), facts, are amazing. hope you are doing well Tim, have a great week.
A super visit, entertaining and slick as always. Thanks guys Strewth, I haven’t been to Frejus since I was nine 😯 but at least the Romans had left by then
Must admit I didn't feel there was an edge to the place. Mind you, it was a Sunday! For me it was that I just loved the sense of history. Did the full tour (en français) of the cathedral which is definitely worth doing. We were staying in St Raphael, which we walked from, which is also worth visiting. Are you and Mr Boo heading there as well?
Boys Really interesting and amusing look around Frejus. The only thing I had in my head about the town prior to this was my Roxy Music Live in Frejus album dating from August 1982! Mike
Hello..new viewer here..I worked for Sunsites a holiday company in the Summer of 1986 and was based near Frejus from April to October of that year on a Camp site..that Summer in the July I saw 2 concerts there, Queen and Simple Minds (with the Waterboys) in concert at the Arena ..I was nearly 20 at the time..I feel really lucky to have been able to see Queen in concert..Cheerio
Hi both, this is Lorinda. Ooooooh I will now MAKE SURE I watch ALL your videos chaps I don't take time out for myself but whatever I have seen of your posts makes me want to watch more. I came upon this as I've wanted to own a morgan since I was 18.....ahem...some years ago! I'm a wimp in many ways....not in others but I daren't watch the full video after reading the comments about the bull fights..... Mr BOO comments....fabulous.. However I've come to this wonderful video after hearing about Tim's diagnosis. Tim....we've never met but we are with you. You are so incredible sharing your story with us. What amazing love you share. Feel it coming back to you. 💓xxxx
@@MeandMonAmi Orrrr thank you Tim :) I'm sure I'll be watching the rest of that broadcast. To be honest, I'm going to be sat watching a lot of your videos cos I absolutely love them. All best wishes, Lorinda
Great video, with so many fascinating Mr Boo facts (BTW was he running or dancing in the amphitheatre - I'm undecided)? 😂 Thanks so much. Really enoyed it!
Believe it or not, but I have a Morgan. Not the Car, it's a Morgan One Pipe. It's not like a normal Pipe. It has no stem. I kept waiting on that Tommy Steele song, 'The Little White Bull'. Ha! Ha! Very Interesting and Informative Episode. Keep up the Great Work Guys.
Fascinating to learn about Frejus. Looks very nice but a trifle long spent in the amphitheatre perhaps? Maybe more impressive to actually be there. There looked to be other little places to see. Where did you eat in the end?
Found this Frejus video in a saved file (now Jan 2024). It didn't look so much like a tourist town? despite the Roman era relics. I think the hotel entry doors from the 1700s were the best. But .... the main reason I dropped in was to say how pleased I felt too see your Halloween again. (All out of time of course.) It was just nice to see him with you both again. I wonder whether Twiggy ever smells or hears H's spirit around.💐
beautiful as always, thank you for the ride. it is a shame that the shops, cafes and tourist attractions become more pet unfriendly every year. they want your money, if they could, they would just take it and send you away also
Didn’t Frejus years ago have a major flood disaster…… I passed through it years ago ? M Boo’s info is fascinating and informative…..did he used to be a tour guide…. Or just miss his vocation….. hope your on the mend Tim 💪🏼😎
Yes. 423 people died in Frejus when the Malpasset dam collapsed in 1959. The ruins of the dam are worth a visit - they’re in the hills just to the north of the town. A very sad spot.
My parents took me to a bull fight in Spain in the late 60’s. I have to say one of the most horrific sights I have ever witnessed. Im not a vegetarian and love a good steak but the cruelty I witnessed that day has stayed with me all this time .
I understand the €12 charge for Halloween it helps to pay for the people with dogs who don't know that they can't go to the bathroom indoors et cetera.. I'm with Mr. Boo I wouldn't have paid the surcharge for charging the car either Service industries have taken this opportunity to charge excessively for food accommodations they will soon be sorry
Facting the Amphiteatrum Iiuli of Forum Iulii in Gallia Narbonensis an more important Settlement in this part of the Imperium Romanum^^ Build in 1. century AD outside the Citywalls. Estimated Capacity between 10-12000 people in 2 Ranks but divided in the usual ima cavea (lower) media cavea (medium) and summa cavea (upper) rank but a bit unusual build because the staircases up are in the balteus (inner arcade) because there wasn´t a vomitorium (outer arcade). Also there wasn´t the normal gallery above the summa cavea but you could put sunsails over it. There is also an elevator System i believe in the Southeast from the Cellar up into the Arena (by the way Southeast was also the Entrance for the Bulls in modern times and is now the main entrance). Well, you know what they say ,"You can't be a bull fighter unless you get in the ring with the bulls". And, what was that they said about old Julie and his empire, "Isn't it funny: A ship that leaks from the top?" And who doesn't love a Morgan?

bonjour lads from Spain. Obviously, those places are doing too well if they can afford to close at the best times to do business. It's so narrow minded to ban all dogs when many of them are better behaved than the human beings. I didn't see any orchestra pit at the amphitheatre so where were the musicians hiding?

Bullfights are a very normal thing in Spain, being supported above all by the extreme right, although there is no shortage of Spaniards of other ideologies, who defend them with all kinds of arguments, such as that it is art, culture, and even add environmental arguments so that the bulls are not extinct. Despite the fact that bullfights have fewer and fewer fans in Spain, it is very difficult for bullfights to be banned in Spain.
I must admit that this time I switched off after I heard you talk about bull fighting! I don't want to look at places where animals were killed for fun!
Dear Tim I was so disappointed when you decided to include the bull ring on your blog , if you knew what really happens in or maybe you don't care ,you almost seem to enjoy the fact that animals died .I think that was a very bad choice maybe this was a real Tim I hope not . I always look forward to your films on the Riviera . David
Hi David, we featured the Roman amphitheatre, which is one of the most famous buildings in Frejus. My excitement was about the theatricality of the space. I share your revulsion at bullfighting as I made clear when I recounted the story of the one and only bullfight I went to as a child and found myself siding with the bull not the matador. This place has been used for many things including Bowie concerts etc. I guess we were amazed how the bullfighting period had been airbrushed from it’s history.
@@MeandMonAmi thank you for your reply I don't believe the French are airbrushed bullfighting as it's still continuing. I don't think people realise the cruelty behind bull fighting there quite often beaten and stabbed before they ever get into the ring and in Spain they cut the muscle on the back of the neck so that they are unable to lift their heads also their horns are shaved so that they are unable to judge the distance in front of them which makes it safer for the matador also sometimes you see the horses used in bullfighting I believe that they have their vocal cords so if the ball catches them with his horns they cannot cry out .Good and bad things happen in history and they should not be airbrushed ,we can't help the past that we can change the future for the best.
David, Please don’t become all sanctimonious. We are ALL aware that the reality of Bull fighting is abhorrant. Unquestionably so. But you have completely misconstrued the commentary and its tone, seemingly deliberately in order to pick a very unnecessary fight. That’s just tiresome.
Dear Abi ,I'm sorry you found my replay tiring. Most of us find bull fighting unacceptable, the point I was trying to make was Tim and Richard spent a long time describing where the bull came from, where the matador out of they both seemed to enjoy the idea.
