“Functional” Tool Restoration - Channellock, Estwing & Petersen Vise Grips

  • I used the Magic Juice™️ to de-rust some Channellock 460s and Vise Grips, and used clear PlastiDip to cover the damaged handles on the 460s. Also brought a small Estwing claw hammer into a nice usable condition #toolrestoration #toolhaul #estwing #channellock #visegrips #madeintheusa

    The Estwing is nearly the same as the one I made sure I got from my mother after my father passed. He didn't have a lot of quality tools, but I always relate the leather wrapped Estwing with him.

      Will do! I found some peeling right away at the top where the grips meet the metal but I trimmed it back and it seems like it will stick now. I’ll do a follow-up in a month or two!

      @@unwired1281 As I was painting it on I was thinking just that. Klein has Klein Koats, wouldn’t it be nice if Channellock offered replacement shrink handles or dip kits
