I am 63 yrs old/young now. Whenever I listen to this song and other Pancham gems of '70s, it takes me back to those days. I was in Serampore College (WB) college (in 1975) of typical '70s. Crowded. 'Angry Young Man' was the flavour. Dropped out of college. Why study? Duniya ne humko diya kya..? My struggling days. Pancham's music inspired. Switched to JU Kolkata, completed BEE.. Joined Power Sector and participated in its turn around. All along got inspired and energized by Pancham music.
Whatever may be my age, whenever I listen to His Gems of '70s, it will transports me straight to those days. I feel so lucky to grow up and get inspired by Pancham's music. Even at very trying and hopeless situations, Pancham's music acted like a great pick-up, great inspiration, to take up any challenge.
    Thank You Pancham.
    R D Burman, The Legend.

Deewaar (1975) a classic of Indian cinema. When Amitabh Bachchan was known as the Angry Young Man in the 1970s'-1980s'. Parveen Babi was the "poor man's" Zeenat Aman- she made the cover of Time Magaizne in 1976. Shashi Kapoor (1938-2017) took over from his brothers- Raj Kapoor (1924-1988) & Shammi Kapoor (1931-2011) until his wife Jenifer's unexpected death from Cancer in 1984. He retired from films in 1998, dying of renal failure in 2017. Rest in Peace Yash Chopra (1932-2012), Rahul Dev Burman (1939-1994), Shashiraj (1938-2017), Madan Puri (1915-1985), Parveen Babi, Iftekhar Khan & Nirupa Roy not forgetting Raj Kishore and the other artists of Deewaar (1975).

My god i was in love with Parveen Babi and had a huge crush on her in all her movies. this was her 2nd movie with Big B. She looked absolutely gorgeous in "Jabse tumko dekha" from Kaalia.

Deewar had great BG score by RD. Many didn't notice as sholay was released same year and compared with that BG.
Remember, the cremetarium scene BG score, where Vijay lights his father's pyre?
