- A video to watch if you wish the watch the whole process of a mare foaling, in peace and without needing human interference. Also showing you the early signs of a mare who is about to give birth.
In this video is our lovely mare, Isabella who is giving birth to a beautiful, strong and healthy filly, that we have named Achara, meaning a Beautiful Angel in Thai.
We wish to share with you the beautiful moments of a mother giving birth to her foal.
With little as possible human interference, watching and supporting the mare silently from the outside of the stall.
*We were lucky that our mare managed to give birth without any help and that we did not have to help her, but please show understanding for others that might need help and assist during due to emergency. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
Brave Mama and beautiful baby. What Mothers have to go through ! Thank you for allowing her normal birth to go through naturally, without human interruption. Incredible first bondings! Mama could use some water. Welcome to the world, little star!
Yes, we do our best to keep it as natural as possible. All the best

you don't know how pleased I am to see this comment you ate 100% right 👍🤜🤛 to many people interfere at moment am getting alot of hate mail coz I comment on how everything was done wrong just by there comments I know they don't know lol any yeah mum can never be left to do alone always have to have someone with her and you can see she doesn't like it just let the animal be in peace let her do her job she will be just fine 😊
It looks so weird to see the mama walking around with a leg sticking out lol, she did amazing! Beautiful mama and baby!!
Thank you Krystal 🐴✨💕
I worried about the foals leg getting hooked in the rail above the stall, or raked down the wall when she laid back down..
@@audreye7078 Thank you for your concern Audrey, luckily it went well 🙏🏻🐴💕
Beautiful mare and filly! I love how they put their noses together when bonding. Very good video of a mare foaling.
Thank you! We are happy that you like it. All the best!

Mares are so lovely, hope that you’ve got one mare now 💕🐴
Wow! What a beatifull birth! Thank you for letting the mama just do it on her own! Great job!
Thank you 🙏🏻 we appreciate your understanding of why we let the mother be in peace ❤️
Such a pretty horse!
Thank you! Yes she is so lovely and nice
This is the sweetest and cutest thing I have ever seen. I love how she’s rolling around, and she’s eating as a foul is Dangling out of her 😍
The mother was very brave, patient and caring during birth and still are :)
U n n
The rolling was her trying to correct the foals position..
Oh gosh.. rolling is natures way to help with malpresentation.. it often is not a happy occassion.
Please understand a natural occurring birth should be fast.. otherwise dangers from predators are able to find the pair. All
Oh my goodness such a pretty little filly! You guys are very blessed to have both these girls, Achara looks just like her beautiful Mama & her name is very unique & special too, she is a Beautiful Angel,I think it fits her nicely; precious little girl, she’ll be just like her mom when she grows up.🐴♥️♥️

Beautiful God bless! My mare is 5 months pregnant and she suffered from colic two weeks ago and hasn’t gained her strength back 😞 I’m worried she won’t have enough energy to push out the baby !
Best of luck to your mare and baby, we hope it will go well. Our horse also had colic during her pregnancy, and it went well 🙏🏼
I'm sure she'll be fine. She has a long way to go. Good luck to you.

BEAUTIFUL mama and baby! 🤗❤️
Thank you so much Rosey ✨🐴💕
I love the little filly it's so cute. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think it's kinda funny and cute how the mare keeps stand up like nothing is happening *even though there is a leg sticking outside of her*
Beautiful mama and baby! And great that you didn't interfere! Great job mama!
They do that to hopefully repositiom the foal.. one leg was stuck.. too many times up and down.. she worked harder than needed when a pull to unhook the other leg would have been such a convenience for the mare.

The colt had an elbow lock when the front feet didnt come out togethe, very lucky mare did fine on her own
Debbie Billings Glad it went well at the end. Congratulations 🎉
Debbie Billings I was thinking the same. I’ve seen the presentation go as well as this before, but I’ve also seen it go really badly as well. Was getting a little worried about the length of time it was taking, but that’s an absolutely awesome mare there, (clearly not her first time), and an absolutely brilliant foal. So glad it all went well in the end ❤️
Cutest lil thing I've ever seen

Well I'm 9 months late but just discovered this. So congratulations and best wishes to Isabella and Achara. Love that name! Isabella is one of my favorite colors, my favorite shade of bay.
Your facility is beautiful. It looks like it could be somewhere here in the U.S., in fact like my area of the country. (Northeast, rolling country with lots of trees, old (therefore low) mountains farther west and north.)
Thank you so much, our reply is also a bit late 😅 We are located in Thailand, and now Achara has grown into a beautiful mare ✨🐴💕 all the best

How he pooping already and he hasn’t even eaten anything yet? Lol
He drank milk before the pooping, we just didn’t get it on camera.

Either way can happen. This first poop is what accumulates during later gestation.

😅😅😅
What is that material around the foal when it starts to come out? Also was it me or did the horse have a umbilical cord? I may of misunderstood
It is the amniotic sac! Just like a human baby, the foal grows and develops inside of it. And yes! Just like a human she had an umbilical cord, and the mama has to deliver the placenta.
Yes, they do have umbilical cord to draw nutrients into their growing body inside the amniotic sac during the mares 11 months of pregnancy 🐴✨
the baby is soooooooocute i want to see him or her
Initially the horse seemed like she was tryna find her way back into the canal. No little one. That's where ya came out. But back into the oven, you will not go.

She handled birthing then me with my 3 kids lol she handled it better then me the pain ! You almost there girl
Thank you 🐴✨
Good video of that, but i may not know lot's of things about horses but apparently the way it sounds what i noticed, i guess horses don't nay as in calling for their baby before being born/ don't nay at their own baby's after being born to their babies like cows do sure cows don't nay they moo but it's still talking to their own baby's. For a moment it looks like she was a first timer who has never had any baby's before in a way she kinda reminds me of how first time heifers/ young cows act like, get up, walk around, lay down, get back up, walk around, same process over and over again until she gets serious. Other than that again good video.👍 it's amazing how God created females to deliver/ males by their sprem that helps the female to deliver baby's into the world❤. So you see god already created it's designed nowadays people want to destroy it? Especially with humans wow their stupid.
Thank you for your nice comment and thoughts. We’ve noticed that in some cases the other horses start to neigh when they notice the new foal, but the mare have never neighed. Isabella is a very experienced mare, she has had all together 8 foals now.
All the best Randy 🐴✨💕
We watched our cat give birth. One came out breech. It was awful. Labour stopped and she needed a Caesarean
good
🐴✨💕
It might be natural but that poor mare must have been suffering. I was so glad for her when the goal was finally born
I think giving birth is always pretty painful
@@flufflewarrior not this much.. this was a malpresentation that should have been corrected before wearing the mare out. It worked out but doesn't make it right when you let them suffer needlessly.
Thank you for your concern, she did great and they’re all going well 🐴💕
The horse is cute I mean CUTE
Thank you Katie 🐴💕
CuTeNeSS . Tooooooooooooooooo cute e kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
You know when they start to lay down they are closer to having the foal.
Yes 🐴✨
Somebody should have helped with the foot, so the mare didn’t have to suffer so much
Patricia Meier it can be damaging to pull the foal out, only trained professionals should do it when it is necessary.
@@coolfrog8777 not so, your vet can instruct you beforehand.. you don't pull the whole foal, just the stuck leg in between contractions to pop the elbow over the pelvis.. if the shoulders get stuck, you pull evenly on both legs in a curve downward.. head back or breech is different.. call the vet unless you do have correct experience/knowledge.. you could get your arm broken getting in there to correct the position..
When considering horses in nature, like wild mustangs, they manages to give birth unassisted, and have been doing it for many centuries. @@coolfrog8777 so you don't think breeders haven't had instruction.. a simple elbow hook is easy to fix.. breech or upside down is another story.. reaching in can get your arm broken..
@@arabianhorsefamily your mare wasn't out getting the kind of 24/7 exercise a wild horse does.. some foals and mare die for lack of assistance.. you let the mare suffer needlessly..
Welcome, little flower

What is going on with the eyes?
It’s the flash light from the phone giving the horses red eyes. Nothing to worry about ☺️
She is a very pretty mare will you be breed her back in 14 day after have this foal. Please do not try to tell it ia early then that because know better , Because I rise horses for a living.
She’s been bred again 3 times after this birth, and yes, there are many and we do sometimes breed again when the mare have their first heat after giving birth ✨🐴
Mom imma walk around n eat..nah never mind let me lay this one out.
😅💕🐴
Is the foal black or bay?
The filly was born Bay
Why did she move so much? Couldn't she have hurt the foal?
Its normal that horses moves around like this when giving birth, it helps them push out the baby with rolling and changing positions. And as you can, the foal came out unharmed, strong and could stand up within 30 minutes.
@@arabianhorsefamily yeah I can see the goal was fine, it just worries me when I see the hoof of head coming out and she stands up or rolls. Thank you for explaining though
No she did not hurt the foal horse do that when they have have a hard time
@@arabianhorsefamily Eric, the mother's body and the foal's amniotic sac cushion the baby until it's pretty much born. Some mares even give birth standing up, and the foal drops, breaking it's amniotic sac and the foal gasps in it's first breath, and it is alright. Mothers move as nature tells them, to help in the birth. It's very painful and hard. But then it's over. And the exhausted mother's thoughts are all for her baby.
E muito lindo te um filho
Obrigada 🐴💕

The miracle of birth. Only wondering whatfor the halter on mom's head?
I think it’s probably just in case they needed to go in and assist her very quickly. They would need to have some sort of contact to control the mother while they help with the baby. Hope this helped!

Yes, it is incase we have to assist the mare 🐴✨ thank you for your concern

How many horses do you have?

How long was the labour
I took all together 1-2 hours
She looks so much like bojack horseman
Why can't they stand up immediately after they come out?
the the it always takes all newborns a little time - their bodies have to adjust to going from being inside, getting all its needs supplied by mom through the placenta to being in the outside and breathing on their own. There’s a lot that goes into that first time standing - they’ve never done it before! Got to learn what their legs do, how to move them, keeping their balance. Primates and humans are the only land animals that don’t stand and walk soon after birth, and we only have a TWO legs 😉 it is really quite the miracle they’re up so quickly when you think about it!
Well answered and written ☺️
@@Caninecancersucksrocks Thank you. Seems like you know a lot about this stuff lol. it's kinda funny if you imagine a newborn human or a Foal running around like crazy as soon as they come out thought.
the the no problem! 😊 I’ve been horse mad all my life lol. Dad used to say I must’ve been born on a horse lol. Been riding since before I could walk, and have shared most of my life with them. I have been very lucky to be a witness to many coming into the world. They’re truly beautiful animals.
South Arabian Horse Club thanks! I wasn’t sure if you’d seen it or not, so figured I’d take a try at it just in case. Absolutely brilliant colt btw - quite the beauty, and so is his mum! Was it her first time?
Are they supposed to come out hooves first? Momma did a good job
Yup
Yes. But both should have been much closer. It was not good that they did not adjust the second leg..
@@audreye7078 I don't know much about horses but that was cool
Yes they come out like in a diving position, but one leg is more in front of the other 🐴✨
7:23 shes like "THAT came out of ME?!"
😅😅😅
Is it a girl or a boy?
Girl
Yes, it is a girl or what they also call, a filly 🐴💕
Why did you guys have a halter on while giving birth?
Most likely just in case they had to assist in any way and grab control of mare. Safety precaution maybe
Exactly Caitlin, thank you 🐴✨
It is due to incase we have to assist or need to move the mare, plus that all of our horses are used to wearing a halter all the time due to everyday having to go in and out to the fields. Putting on and off 14-16 halters a day would be too much time consuming and very difficult when they’re all outside in the fields.
Was it a colt or a filly?
Filly
Yes, a filly 🐴💕
What are the babies genders?
This foal is a girl or filly. A boy would be a colt
yep! and when a girl turns into an adult horse she becomes a mare and then the adult male horse is a stallion but it you want your male horse to not make foal's with other mares than you can fix it where it doesn't make foal's which would be a gelding
It’s a filly 🐴💕✨
Somebody obviously went in and tied up the sac so it wasn't dragging on the ground. It appears the video was shot in pieces, or edited to shorten it.
Correct, we tied up the sac for the horses convenience and more hygienic.
@@arabianhorsefamily Good to see some basic hygiene. Braiding tails before birth is another good option.
