Angie Baer nice :)
Angie Baer are you happy with it r years later
I wonder the same, what about 4 years later. Still so happy ? :-)
Bart De Reu yes we have them 9 years now but they are a bit slow compared to the new one
Whats price of this one?
When will the herd navigator system be approved for use in the US? I have heard there are a lot of issues with the system yet and it slows down the software and you cannot milk as many cows per day while using the software that goes along with the herd navigator?
the best thing to use on a dairy farm
hi Delaval, are you currently represented in East Africa, would like to find out more about your products
What is the price per VMS
80, K to 150 K pounds £
Milking is the best company
Yum!
This is great!
how many cows a day can you milk with one VMS system?
long dong silvers we have 70 cows on 1 VMS and every cow 2.70 times a day
Wow, how many times did the narrator have to say the word "teat"? A lot
Yeah it's like the main factor in the story that's where the money coms from.
Lely all the way
Depends on who you ask. both companies are great to be honest both have there perks Lely being cheaper but Delaval offering more with their system. Glad to see you are happy with your system vms is the way to go for sure :)
full disclosure i do work for a Delaval dealership and i install and maintain Delaval equipment. i work in Ontario Canada
+Kyle Shea what is it, that Delaval offering more than Lely? Just curious because I'm looking to maybe get a robot in the future.. and I have to say that Lely with the Astronaut offers the same plus integrated heat detection, Delaval offers heat detection with an additional unit... explain please..
Marty M. The main reason I went for lely was because of the weigh bridge. This weighs the cows on every visit and provides a much better insight into their health. This is an amazing tool as should u have a johnies positive cow u can see when see is loosing weight and it is time for her to go. Please correct me if I am wrong but I do not believe delaval have this feature. They certainly didn't when we purchased our robots. Again please correct me if I am wrong!
Kyle Shea You r right. Both systems are great. I am lely bias as that is the milking system we have installed because at the time of purchase our local delaval dealer would not even give us a quote. We have now been milking with lely robots for 8 years and they r fantastic, as I am sure delaval robots r.
in my opinion tbh......: this is a big manual mu480 automatics.Truely, i don't fking understand how can i get my dairy farms with this.Like bruh, did the vacuum pump works 24h?
8 vms? It's like minimum 520 cows at that farm in the video.
yes, one DeLaval unit can milk 60 cow's, a lely unit could do 70 cow's max
Martin Limpers I believe both can do 70 but it's the absolute maximum. I see you like Lely over Delaval
Ronimau santi the worst buy you could ever do, my uncle had 2 sold them and bought 2 lely's and never had a problem
Martin Limpers Hmm, I've heard the same story only the opposite happened. i find it hard to believe that all the problems was solved though. I've heard they're equally good, and equally bad for that sake. Why was the delaval so bad? What problems did it have?
+Ronimau santi a lot more water use, high maintenes . Maintenes cost with lely 250% less
If your cows live in a factory , you're not farming .
+shaquille karauna On the contrary, the cows are free to do whatever they feel like. They enjoy the freedom the robot brings them. The famer also has more time to tend to their needs
Yes that is true , but they will never get the same as a free cow in the long green grass in a paddock . But everyone has their own way of farming :)
+shaquille karauna Who said anything about keepin the cows inside? At my farm the doors to the meadows are open from april till oktober. Some cows prefer staying inside most of the day. But as long as they are healthy and visit the robot on time to yield milk, they're free to go outside.
I said if your cows live in a factory and don't go outside dude.....
+shaquille karauna Then what is your definition of a factory? What's the difference between producing milk and meat with 5 cows and 500?

The machine is amazing but the people who made this video are far from it. Dairy farming is the EASIEST agribusiness work-wise. You only work on the field in summer harvesting silage and then all you have to do is feed, milk and clean the stalls. ALL of which has been highly automated in the recent years. You wanna see hard? Try vegetable farming where almost everything has to be done manually.
0:45 "Each VMS is currently providing milk yields of up to 3000 kilos per day". From how many cows? Where? On what feed? It's the most unclever statement about farming I've heard so far.
This is what happens when you decide to have a "marketing department". Guten Tag
Herr Paul Löfgren. You're absolutely useless.
Sounds like someone whos never worked on a dairy farm
@@plowmaster1206 You're absolutely right, Bob-Lou.
@@Maloy7800 bob Lou?
I prefer the manual way tbh I don't like the robot tbh
