- Welcome to Season 2! Thank you for joining us on the adventure of owning, enjoying and maintaining our 1988 Hatteras 65C Sport Fishing Yacht. Special shout out to our returning viewers; we really appreciate your support of the channel. Let’s get Season 2 off to a good start…
We are going to kick it off with a job we have been meaning to get to: Repairing the Purge Blowers for the Engine Room. While we knew they needed attention, join us as we discover just how bad they really were. The reason we repair these instead of replacing them is they cost $1000 each and other than the rust, the shaft bearings and blade assemblies are fine. It took some creative fiberglass repair to save these, check it out.
We really appreciate your time to check out the video and welcome your questions and comments. Your subscription and likes on our videos help us to know to keep them coming.

Nice work! I enjoyed that one, enough detail but you spared viewers all the minutiae. Excited to see you have season 2 going.
Thank you, it was a challenge to make, and we like to vary the presentation for you all. More to come!
I've watched quite a few of your videos, brings back a lot of great memories with my dad, he loved working on his boats, you're very mechanically inclined what is your background if you don't mind me asking. ✌️
That's cool, my Dad got me into this stuff. Mainly working with gas turbines now, but worked on our tractor and ranch truck as a teenager and never stopped. The only way to affordably own a yacht is to do your own work anywhere you can.
Nice save! The blowers should be good for another 25 years. By the way, we live just south of Kemah.
Thank you, I hope so, and Hello neighbor!
You have for sure added a new life to what most would of just thrown out, and saved some cha ching for fuel for the beast.
Agreed on both points for sure. Really opened a can of worms on that one though.
