Yep, there's some really good people here. I live in town now, but used to have a little acreage and ran a few horses on it. One time, a McGill (not sure if he was kin to this McGill, my neighbor was J.J.) let me borrow his stock trailer to haul a small herd of miniature horses in, my two-horse was too small. He was a great dude, ag teacher at the Deaf School here, and started the Antique Tractor Club here. Miss him, he was good peeps. I'm fairly sure that Daniel and DeeJay probably knew him as well. That's why I love living here, this town's full of great people.

Your truck looks like a patchwork quilt. I like quilts. Houston is such a sweetheart. I raised three and a half boys myself and they are special to me. The half one was from friends of mine who were too young to handle a baby. His mom was killed by a drunk driver when he was just a little over a year old. They asked me to take him when he was just 6 weeks old. He is 22 now and his father just passed away. He has had a rough life. He is a good young man. See you soon in your next video!

I was yelling at the screen telling you to floor it up the incline, 😂😂
I understand it's not yours & not wanting to damage it. That was really nice of your friend to let you borrow it. I was taught when you borrow something you return it better than it was when you borrowed it. I did that when my vehicle was in the shop and my small town Auto repair let me borrow their one and only loaner they had. I made sure it was swept out & more gas in it when I borrowed it but that's how I was raised.
I hope the dump truck works out but if not it's not from lack of not trying it.
That's cool Houston (sorry if I misspelled his name) is trying to make lures. I didn't know you could at home. I learned something new today!

@@jay90374 because it is sticky and gummy. There is no adventure in damaging a loaned vehicle, then returning it that way, saying, "oops, sorry." I wouldn't take the chance to have to pay for repairs, especially for a vehicle like that where the parts availability is probably lacking and expensive. But of course, I'm not the one involved there, so whatever he does is his decision.

Hey Houston, most people don't know but back before CNC processes were perfected the patterns for the molds for soft plastic lures were hand carved. I worked in the mold department for Sabine Manufacturing where millions of soft plastic lures were made. We made lures for Mister Twister, Riverside Lures, H&H, and several other brands. The man behind all those is Greg Garst, he is a genius and was the mind and hands behind actual dozens of the lures that were marketed at the time, some still today. I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy Houston doesn't know or at least know of Greg. He had numerous lure patents. After hand carving the patterns he made a single, or double cavity mold, depending on the size of the lure. We had an injection pot made from an electric pressure cooker that had a valved spigot for injecting samples. It had a regulated air supply with dryers for pressurizing the pot at up to but never more than 15psi. The dryers should keep moisture out of the air supply, which prevents flash steaming and can introduce air bubbles into the plastic. We ran that pot at 325 to 375deg F. The spigot had to be occasionally heated with a handheld propane torch to get the plastic in it melted to flowing temps. Get some welding gauntlets that will cover your arms, that plastic is extremely hot at injection temp and will cause horrible burns, if it gets on you, DON'T wipe it, it will remove the skin it touches, keep a bucket of cool water nearby to plunge your arm into in case of a burn. Seeing you make those lures beings back a lot of good memories from a long time ago. Be careful and good luck! Search Garst Lure Design, I think he still does design work and consulting.

In 1977 I was hired for my mold cutting skills. Rubber vulcanized molds of antique brooches and such. Then we would inject wax. Make replicas in wax to use in the lost wax casting process. You gave Houston good advice.
Eye protection goggles and bucket of cool water close by are good safety.

Dan'l with the engine off put the probes for a volt meter across the battery terminals, it should read about 12.5 volts. With the engine running do the same, it should read about 14.7 volts. If it's reading below that with the engine running, your charging system isn't working correctly (alternator/voltage regulator). If the battery (at rest) is reading below 12.5 volts then you need to determine whether you have a direct short, or a bad battery.
M'be a set of chains on the rear to get a bit in the clay?

I’m 71 yo. I remember my grandaddy driving a farm truck very similar to yours. He tied a couch on the back and that’s where my granny and aunt rode. I rode in the cab because I was 10 yo.
He drove it to church and revivals and everywhere.! Thanks for the memories

It is so wonderful to see Houston trying to make bait! Nobody got it right, right away. And practice makes perfect. And Daniel you did all you could with the truck. You got it running and it is not your fault that it could not take a tiny hill. Now you know you need more power!!Good luck all🤗🤗💞💞💙💙

This little adventure takes me back to Grandpa and my gang of Great Uncles. They started getting me into trouble at age 4. They would have had me driving the truck at age 5. They would have stood aside and hollered directions until the situation was hopelessly lost. Then they ran and left me to take the heat. Thanks for the memories!

I make my own soft plastics Houston and it's a lot of fun and catching bass on your own baits is so much fun and rewarding to me it took me a while to figure everything out but I have to make my baits outside because of the toxic smell
Thanks again for another awesome video I really enjoyed it and as always I'm really looking forward to seeing the next video

It’s exciting to see the deer when you go out to the other places… This pig is frightening mad. Greetings Houston! How is school coming along? Here in ETX we are all about football. My grandson is a tenth grader, but made the varsity team. There is deer everywhere, beautiful ones. They are getting use to the feeder, as well as the pigs.
