Good video @elmo 👍👍👍 Good to know the good makan places in Sabah. I also long time no go liow.
Btw, do you know why SS14 drinks so expensive, and why the others in other areas are expensive? Because they are all taken over by youngsters. And these youngsters all wanna charge premium prices, impatient want to get rich. But whether is there or not is another matter. Very disappointing indeed.

KK has the most expensive hawker food as well as lodging compared to other cities. Reasons; partly because of the chinese tourists and second because of the extra charges of shipping cost incurred by the cabotage policy by the minitry of malaysia.

I have seen your sister around in KK and I know Wendy personally. 😊There are many other places which served better beef noodles than the one you have been. If you would have stay longer and tasted all the sang nyuk noodles in KK and know the origin of it, it’s actually pork noodles created by a Johorean who lived in Tawau. Hope you come back again, I hope to bring you around for better food. I am from Selangor, now called Sabah my home.

@@malaysiafood328 Things are just cheaper in your area. African countries are 3rd world countries. Things are reasonably advance and convenient in Malaysia. That fish in your seafood dinner would have cost well over $100 in my neighborhood.

I'm boycotting many coffee shops and hawkers because of their crazy prices. Many time rather eat in proper Chinese Restaurants cause pay just a little bit more, I can enjoy much better service, quality of food and much better environment and comfort. Options are out there. Consumer need to do their part so Malaysians can continue to enjoy cheap and good food.

RM3.50 is not expensive. I have one crazy kopitiam who charges RM5 for kopi / teh ping. normal kopitiam only, that's why their kopitiam has the least number of customers and the management has changed several times in the last 2 years. this people do not offer anything special but charge high prices as if there are no other kopitiams around (which there are several next to it). this kind of strategy will lead to bankruptcy soon.

A very interesting KK episode and a good introduction to the cost of living followed by a brief history of Api -Api !!! In this episode - I would have this phrase in my mind as I watch all the interesting food served by various restaurants - " Same same But Not the same ". The unique way of how the food is prepared plus the fresh ingredients makes a difference ( as compared to back home here in West Malaysia). From special noodles to fresh seafood to outstanding desserts and everyday buns made this episode an interesting, unique, exception episode. Really great to have buddies around too adding fun and able to order more varieties to savour. Yatt Lau ! Mou Tat Deng ! Thank you Elmo and also to your buddies and family !!! Happy Chinese New Year !!! Koong Hei Fatt Choy !!!👌🧧( only free now to watch Elmo's video - ☺)
