Corgi restoration Jaguar E type Cabrio No. 312. Die-cast model.

Today I am renewing the sporty version of the Mettoy Jaguar E type Convertible from 1966. My model did not have tires, windshield and driver figures. I adopted the windshield by cutting out a fragment of a copy of the Volvo 1800 windshield. To display subtitles in the selected language at the bottom of the film, press C on the computer or the three dots on the mobile phone in the film. I made the driver using the original from the Lotus model. The figurines were very similar to each other. A small modification was enough and the drivers are indistinguishable. It was very difficult for me to paint the Jaguar, which was made in a mirror golden color. For an effect similar to the original, I covered the model with chrome Molotow liquid. After it dried, I painted it with a colorless car paint tinted with yellow pigment. I made a copy of the tires from soft black hot cast plastic, I had the form of Ferrari Berlinetta Le Mans tires. It's a great restore, and if you used water sandpaper in order to correct the roughness of the granulate, then tamiya polish and then wax, the result would be even better than the brand new version 🏆
