- Judge Barbara Bellis denied the Plaintiffs' motion to protect against a mistrial in Alex Jones' Sandy Hook defamation trial. "I'm going to deny the motion without prejudice," the judge said. "However, it certainly can be renewed if the circumstances change."

the motion was denied because it is nonsense, the jury is instructed to avoid _any_ media coverage and nothing about that changes because Jones spoke to media. I think that people seem really keen on focusing on the answer and ignoring the question that elicited it.

It is all bout being a "show" trial for Jones for the press.

He will very likely and rightfully lose this case and whichever ones will follow and big verdicts will be spoken.
My suspicion is that he considers his stationary US assets toast - but is preparing to leave the country, restart his broadcasts from there, contract out all the logistics for snake oil deliveries to third parties and get future payments on overseas accounts.
He'll get some tacky private real estate seized but the plaintiffs, ex-wives (present and future) and other creditors will only get cents on the dollar - and he'll do splendid fresh business with a freshly wound up fan base.
On these premises, his seemingly suicidal speeches start making sense - they would be advertisements for his future overseas activities.
He should be hammered with criminal charges so his passport can be taken away to block this exit.

Reading these comments are just sad. It’s scary to see how many people don’t see how wrong this is. There is no consequences when a judge is blatantly corrupt. It doesn’t matter how much you love or hate a defendant we should have an expectation for judges to exercise their powers equally and fairly.
You're right, it doesn't matter how loved or hated the defendant is but the verdict on motion is OBJECTIVELY correct. She even mentions that it is 'dismissed without prejudice' which legally means it can be revisited. The defendants argument for this motion has no foundation.

His guilt has already been established by the courts. Why? Because he refused to show up to that part of the court cases. And in civil suits, that defaults to the other side winning. These trials are about exactly how much he will owe each family, because again, the guilt is already defaulted to him by his refusal to even show up to the trials to find guilt.

It's really difficult for me to watch/listen to the plaintiffs attorneys. They seem so disorganized and scattered. The long pauses after the witness comments is awkward at best . . . then it's apparent they aren't even listening when they ask another question to get the info they just heard. I'm having a HARD time watching them. Is the female going to have a chance? Hopefully she is better than the 2 men. IMO . . . they are digging way deeper into the witness history than is necessary.

Why? The trial is about damages alleged to have occurred before the trial happened. He has already been found guilty in the first phase of the show-trial and last I checked time travel was still impossible.

I've been saying this channel could do more to clean up the audio. The least they could have done here was to convert to mono so we could at least have sound out of both speakers. Some compression would be great too.
Don't have it, I am half way through it.
Easy fix, free programs like Audacity, just lower the track volume, switch to mono, and a compressor + limiter for some better sound quality. Really helps with vocals even for music purposes

Its similar to the term "Propria Persona" if you've heard of that, however that word derives from Pro-fessional, which refers to a paid position, which in some cases can grant the court jurisdiction, or disallow you from assisting someone else in court. Court isnt like the movies, its one jay e double u trading favors for another. Court is just word games and verbal pitfalls usually, because prosecution doesnt have legal jurisdiction to do a lot of the things the state attempts to do.

Libel and defamation against the plaintiffs is not an “opinion” it’s actionable and it’s not protected speech under the 1st amendment.
@@mikeharvey2748 But he didn’t defame anyone. He questioned an event, the fact this was deemed defamation for questioning an event where the very father (robbie parker) was acting extremely strange in front of the CNN cameras is a SHAME.
