- Finally decided I would make the M3 a bit louder. Started getting tired of not being able to hear the car. This muffler has made the car a lot more fun to drive! I'm pretty impressed with the quality.

When I bought mine it had the same exhaust. Sounded half way decent but had a weird rattle. The welds for the little pieces of metal that that kept the two cans equal distance from each other had broken. I should have just had it fixed because it took me several combinations of things to get it to sound how I like it. Crazy that the cheap one sounded better than most of the others that people recommended.

When I installed my Corsa exhaust I just removed the plastic trim that goes on the bottom part of the bumper and above the tips. Didn't have to remove the whole bumper to swap out the exhaust.
But now I know how to remove the bumper. Thanks

Dude, cheap mufflers are the way to go. The price gap is huge, and the quality difference (oftentimes) marginal.
My Megan Racing unit sounds GREAT, was dirt cheap, and has lasted for a decade.
Hey, taking the bumper off took 5 minutes and it makes installing it much easier and everything is more accessible. You can sit in a rolling chair and work on it as opposed to getting on the ground and all that stuff falling into your eyes. It was definitely worth the 5 minutes to take it off. Thank you 😊

Hey the install sounds pretty good. I have a 2002 M3 with around 16,800 miles on it now. I have a M4 and I love the sound and wish like you I could the M3 sound deeper and more. What brand did you buy and did you finally do headers to? Nice driving between the buildings! Very risky if you dont wants dents. Thanks Tom
It’s just a top speed muffler at the moment! Plan to do headers soon... thanks for the kind words
You must have x-ray vision to inspect subframe cracks like you did 😂
It already has reinforcement plates so I have to inspect spot welds. I wasn’t actually inspecting the subframe just inspecting the spot welds while I have that carpet out.

Dude you need to swap the hanger round on the side that’s sitting in, easy mistake to make as I did it when I fitted my eisenmann 👍🏻

285 30 19” for the rear tires? any issues with running those or anything to modify to fit them?

How was the fit in the diffuser area compared to stock?

Thanks! I’ve had the car a little over two years. Just recently it’s started to give me some issues because it has 180k now and it’s seen a lot of hard miles. The car is fairly reliable for what it is but you need to remember that it is a high performance engine so it’ll need a refresh here and there. I’d buy one with everything done to it (rod bearings, subframe, vanos) and you won’t be disappointed, solid car. The main killer of these engines is people not waiting for the oil to be at operating temperature before spirited driving.

Saul Monge-Varo you just need to get the muffler pushed into the section 3 as far as you can then it’ll close as you tighten alternating sides.
Hoon Garage thanks for the reply. I tried doing that but it seems that my section 3 has a sort of lump where it blocks them from touching. It looks like yours doesn’t have that lump I’m telling you about
Saul Monge-Varo try wiggling the muffler while pushing it from behind with non of the hangers attached to the chassis.

Any section 1 or 2 plans?.. I did Megan headers and section 3 muffler .. I would've advised on the Megan exhaust since its half the price and sounds and fits similar. I'm adding 2 aero resonators and hopefully i can fit two flowmaster cats. anybody have catted and resonated sec 1? i cant stand the smell anymore lol

does this muffler give a high pitch sound? or a more deep clean slightly high pitch sound?
These systems are among the loudest available for the E46 M3. Sounds quite good (But really loud) at high rpm's, and the drone at low Rpm's 1600-2500 is terrible.
Pleast notice that my car is a Euro version with slightly different headers etc, but the result is probably quite similar on US cars too.

Are 285s bad for the rear axle and stuff like that?
Simple answer is that it probably will put more stress on rear subframe,suspension bushings etc compared to stock, causing them to wear out slightly faster.
If that is a problem is another question. :)

do you think you can put heat shielding around the inside of the bumper to prevent it from burning?
If you want to run the muffler delete I’d have a shop weld elbows pointing to the ground. Don’t make my mistake and burn your bumper.

It takes a lot of saving, hard work and dedication to get what you want which is what it took me in this case. You being 17 gives you lots of time and the ability to get a job to save and get one yourself!

Hey Bro i bought an e46 M3 with 18 as first car. I dont know about the prices in your country but in switzerland you can get one for 20k swiss franks. And if you saving your money its easily to get one! I wish your dream comes true and you'll sit in a m3 in the next years. its a beautiful car!
ps: if you get one, buy the supersprint lightweight race exhaust, crazy loud and beautiful sound!
How long did it take to burn the old muffler off??
You mean burn the bumper? Only happened after doing hot laps but I'd for sure get tips welded pointing away from the bumper if you want to do a muffler delete.
Hoon Garage yeah, reason I ask is because I’m in the middle of doing it.. I have the tips but I asked because the plan is to remove the muffler at home and drive to a shop like that just have them install the tips (already had Ar20s welded on to hush that damn rasp)

I know but it's literally 4 13mms and the rear parking sensors. About 5mins and it made everything way more accessible and gave the viewers a better view.

Yes it took a total of maybe 5mins to make all the nuts super easily accessible.
@@HoonGarage when I replace mine I just went under it both work Haha how did the drone go away after the muffler break in
