I am an absolute beginner in Revit and your tutorials are just so easy to follow and helpful...it makes this program look like a walk in the park! Thank you!!
I followed you on 2017, on our autocad classes. And now that i'm on engineering practice i am once again watching to learn and start my slow transition from autocad to revit. Thank you. Your teaching passion is never fading.
Hi, I am Civil Engineer from Philippines. This is really big help. Thank you so much! You deserve a subscription and like. Keep it up on sharing knowledge.
Thanks a lot, it's very helpful, I wish to have these exercises in a book, with a CD. In a book I can read each part and repeat, still with this training you are one of the best. Michel

When at 4:55 he is saying "drag up" just move your mouse upward without clicking or pressing anything (I was literally trying to click and drag up that point) and just start typing the distance (press any digit on your keyboard and input box would appear).
Let me start off by saying that you tutorials are really nice and informative. I currently am stuck at tutorial 3. For some reason when I try building the first floor, my floor plan does not show. In your tutorial it shows transparent, but in my laptop it does not show at all. I tried several ways of playing with the settings to unhide it, but no use. Can you please advise me with this issue on how to view the floor plan when drawing the additional floors of the building? Thanks :)
Thanks for your appreciation Kevin! Video quality is 1080hd, but if the internet connection is low. So sometimes it's common that the quality decreases automatically. You can check it on the settings.
Thanks for the tutorial but I have a question if you can please help . On the last section, when I’m in East view , I can’t see the Levels for foundations . I can only see Level 1 and level 2. Please help so I can start part 3.
Autocad is very good for 2D drawing, specially if you want to use very detail drawing. Revit is very good for making a full project. With elevations, sections and 3D views. It takes a bit time to get used to it but once you learn it, it is faster and easier to modify projects on Revit.
Hello Sir, thank you for your videos, they help me much more than any other videos I could find! You helped me learn autocad (I could not learn from all the other videos) and now fotunately you have video about Revit. Could you please explain how to change the color of a component in an existing project (e.g sliding doors)?
Thank you very much for you support Christos. Hope you keep learning Revit. About changing colors -> you have to go to the Visibility Graphics (View tab) and select the family, click on Override to change the color. You can play around there. It's not too hard to understand. I may cover this topic in the future.
Amazing and crazy helpful video! I just have a question concerning the different types of walls in the properties tab: Ive got the Revit 2022 version and don't have the walls in there that you have. Mine are all called Wall-Ext_35sc-50Air-100lns.... and so on, all with different numbers, none are just good old basic 140mm masonry walls. Is there a way to import those walls or change settings to get them? Cheers :)
Hello Sophy. Probably that's about your region and language. As libraries may change from country to country. Do you use English version? Thanks a lot for watching this tutorial
Thank you very much. I am not sure when part 3 will be, but I hope as soon as possible. I am still learning, and lately I was working more on completing the content on Autocad.
Sir, I have a question. At around 14:05 of the video, you have the B.O. Footing, T.O Fnd. Wall, Footing and slab choices while mine doesn't (it only showed Level 1, 2 and unconnected). And when I go to elevation, only the walls, doors and windows were shown. The foundation levels are not shown. Is there anything I did wrong? Thank you so much.
Hello Arjay! That depends the template you used. The Architectural template doesn't come with the levels behind the surface. But don't worry because you can create those levels. Watch the part 3 - chapter "Levels". Thanks for watching!
When it comes to the type of walls. I have changed generally project units and it works when I'm drawing a line, than it shows in mm, but how to change wall thickness unit? I have inches and want to change it to mm also.
Hey thanks for the video, but you might need to check your microphone volume and distance sounds. Some of the volums are nearly wispering level, and some others are completly cut off
Hello Anders. Thanks for your comment and review. I agree with you, although I noticed it after publishing the video. Later, I have published a video with the first six parts arranged together, and I have fixe those problems. ua-cam.com/video/Di-pSpNYHO0/v-deo.html

At 7:08, when you click the wall witness lines are seperate. How can I adjust those? Mine are continious. Same at 9:45, witness lines starts from each sides of the door, mine is only one side and continious through the whole wall.
I'm new to Revit and I'm having a tough time on the walls because the names on my walls are different on the video, I don't have those generic - 140mm Masonry. I'm using Revit 2023.
I still do not understand drawing a floor plan with external walls. For example: if I draw and external wall with a thickness say 250 mm (in australia we work with mm and not metres) and the floor plan is going to be 10, 000 mm by 10, 000 mm (do I have to add the thickness of the beginning and the end walls which would be 250 mm plus 250 mm plus 10,000 mm for the length of the wall? When I draw it, the length number changes to 9820 mm. It is very confusing. Everything else I understood.
When moving the walls around, the dimension lines come from the center of the wall, how do you get the dimension lines to break for the wall thickness so you are seeing the room dimensions? I see I can move the witness line but then one of the dimensions includes the wall thickness.
sir why is that when I tried doing the interior walls where I need the exterior walls as reference points, the reference point keeps starting at the center of the exterior wall and not on the endpoint at the corner?
