**SPOILER** That guy is Bondrewd. Bondrewd is every single Umbra Hands. Obviously the last thing he wants is the death of one of them... he needs them.
@Satanho I think it's mentioned that they have different modes of operation. This one, and the one who cared for Prushka, were the original personality and the user in control of themselves. But the ones who acted more like zombies. Speaking slow, or repeating one word over and over, were ones Bondrewd was controlling more closely kinda like drones. They were slow because controlling many at once must be difficult. Which makes sense. He wouldn't miss a chance to learn something from experiments. So the group that did the surgeries, and dissections were all controlled. Basically allowing him to be there while his current vessel was elsewhere.
If anything, this was probably the most symbolic representation of there being no turning back now and that things will never be the same as they were before. Lyza would supposedly chill on this field multiple times, but the first time Riko gets to it the field's already infested beyond salvation.
There's also kind of a sense that something deep in the abyss is seriously off, behind all the horrible things on each level there was still a kind of accepted, if not messed up normality. Something has gone wrong, and it kind of seems like the white whistles "Know" that something is wrong, but are avoiding the topic.
@@henrybran8904 maybe it's the fact that SPOILER I read somewhere that every 2k years the world just ceases to exist and turns into another layer of abyss, so my guess is that, given that all white whistles are drawn to commit that last dive, they either seek to prevent that or at least preserve humanity when that happens again. Maybe that's why Bondrewd is dicking around with getting a blessing instead of a curse - imagine being there during the new dawn of civilization with all the cool knowledge
@@tertiaritus I always kind of had that feeling, especially after seeing the 6th layer and its design. It was like a mirror image of the city built around the edge of the abyss, caught mid destruction. It always made me wonder if at one point, it was the actual top of the abyss, and it sank.

Other creatures are easily recognizable and you can move away before they see you, but that insect is invisible when camouflaged with the most typical flower of its world, add that it is an invasive species because these insects have been seen in other layers. You don't know where it is You don't know when it gets close You don't even know if you've become its new larval nest. The only thing you can do is pray that you or someone you love doesn't have a field of flowers.
I just watched the whole movie and holy f"ck, there's a lot of rough stuff going on, all of these poor children, Prushka, nannachi, Riko, and reg ☹️, i won't exactly tell what happened to all of them because of spoiler, but mannn it hurts a lot to watch this.
