    .
    From NPC / IFBB Pro League Vice-President Tyler Manion: I tried to make this comprehensive but not too redundant. Hopefully this clears some things up on what we are looking for in these classes. The Texas Pro wrap up video for the Open Men will be dropped tomorrow to give you an example of how we judge the shows.

    Great video, it’s nice to hear the exact criteria that’s being looked at for each pose. I’ve been following bodybuilding for 35 years, but most people don’t have a clue how bodybuilding is judged, so I think videos like this are a great idea. I’m also glad to hear you say that judges don’t want to see a hybrid side tricep/ab and thigh pose. Part of me feels like you should standardize each pose. For example, the ab and thigh. For me, both hands overhead was the way it was done back in the day and I think that’s the best way. Turning to the side doesn’t showcase the abs and thighs as much. Overall, great video to explain to the youngest generation what the IFBB/NPC is looking for in each pose.

    This was perfect!! Thank you for explaining each pose, criteria, and what you're looking for with each pose. Also, thank you for setting the record straight concerning the side tricep pose. I also don't like the so-called " hybrid" tricep pose.

    in the 30 years I've been watching bodybuilding, this is the first time I've ever seen judging explained clearly and concisely. Why did this take so long????

    I love the transparency. It would be cool to hear a head judge interview after the show on their thoughts etc as well. Would be cool. 👌🏼🔥💯

    its really unfair judging only one variation of side triceps and showing Andrew like an example and to allow to hit abs/t different ways knowing how much guys just look terrible in a traditional variation of abs/t and try to hide this traditional front variation because of their evident weaknesses.
    But its still great review, appreciate it.

      The ab and thigh and most muscular are the only poses that allow variation. Side of the leg is a very important part of the side tricep. The criteria isn't made for Andrew specifically

      @@pramathanarayana867 not showing abs from the front is the same thing. Some athletes just hasn't beautiful abs, not having dryness and deepness on his body and trying to compensate it turning back and fourth. Samson Dauda, Brandon Curry are the perfect examples doing this things. They both look faar worse in a standart variation of abs/th

      @@ПавелПавел-в7ь hitting the ab and thigh straight on might seem like the norm but it's not a standard pose. I belive they judge the waistline and midsection itself on front and side poses as well. The ab and thigh is designed to let the athletes show their ab and quad development in whatever stance looks best. You have a point. But the ab and thigh and most muscular are not written in stone like the other mandatories. Also, andrew with that beautiful ab and thigh would be given more credit compared to those that hit it side on or try to hide their flaws. They're not just glossing over it. But what Tyler is saying is hiding your "side leg" on a "side tricep" pose is not what they're looking for

      @ПавелПавел-в7ь Рік тому

      @@pramathanarayana867 you also have a point, espesially about side legs and things like that. But we can't put Andrew and some athletes(Kuklo for example) in the position when they look like Gods in their variation of side tri, when they have perfect triceps, perfect aesthetics if you want, and give them a lose to anyone when abs/thigh judging like this. We need to be fair if we wanna judge this way and giving Hunter most of the poses except abs. It turns out the aesthetics and unique genetic means nothing and the judges only looking for balance and trying not to mention the unique genetics, the tons of details on Jacked frame just because of a lil bit untraditional posing

      @@pramathanarayana867 p.s but allowing to pose different ways in two poses and to hide real weaknesses when you just don't have nice and cut abs, chest and beautiful quads from the front. Otherwise if you wanna SIDE tri you need to require FRONT abs and thigh and nothing more to put everyone in the same position

    POOR BB ! Now it's clear why so many races with wrong results: you don't know what you're talking about. First: you never mentioned the criteria by which to establish simmetry and propoportion = the osteomuscular proportions of a human body. Go study the Canon of Polycletus and Leonardo's table. All artists (sculptors and painters) must know them in order to operate. What do you rely on to establish the ratios of proportion? Your fantasy?
    Second: for you an athlete is ONLY the sum of the development of individual muscles. You compare them with those of others, and then make a ranking = look at the individual parts of the frame without seeing the picture. And the length of the body, arms, legs in relation to the head? Is unrilenant the ratio between leg length and upper body?
    Third: You never ever said the word: calves. FDB, BDB, ABS&T = quads, stop. Do the calves exist or are they superfluous? Shall we see chickens on stage?
    Does the length of the muscle bellies matter?
    If you had respected these criteria, all the last races would have to be redone. From now on we want to see your scorecards for each pose, so that you stop making fun of the public and the athletes.
