I've been living here since 1973. Parents moved down here from NJ because the crime was moving towards our location. Other than the heat and traffic, I can't complain. There are SO MANY things to do here, it's unreal. There's a reason people move here from all over the world. I just wish some would do real research before moving here.
If you have a pet you cannot let them out alone or even walk them on a leash near water. Those gators will lay low and burst up, snatch yr pet, and be gone, all before you can react.
YES! I have a video about living with Florida wildlife and I do stress the importance of alligators and animals. I've heard some verry sad stories and so many were preventable. Thanks for watching!
In the Midwest my grandma used to spray to get rid of crab grass. What she called crabgrass is out st Augustine. And that Zoysia stuff is like theme park grass. Looks ok in big spaces a long ways away., up close not so much.
It's always something coming and being built. With all the new builds and expanding roads. It'll be interesting to see what Florida looks like in 10 years. :)
AWE, I hope I didn't come across like that. 🤔 You must be a floridian thats tired of people moving here? I have ran across several people like that lately. We must have all the good, fun stuff in Florida, everyone wnats to be here. 😁
@@ShondraPatterson I’m leaving Florida after 46 years…because I’m tired of all the traffic…the insane development that comes with all the people fleeing blue states….God forbid a patch of land isnt developed…the beautiful 500 acres behind my house that has been undeveloped is now going to be another tract home development ruined…My once beautiful peaceful neighborhood is a distant memory….going to the mountains.
With climate change in 50 years half of Florida will be under the ocean. So, buy in a high elevation in the state and you will eventually have beachfront property.
Criminal Democrats abound, especially in blue cities. Florida's crime rate is low, even with the Democrat areas, and neighboring Polk County has reduced crime to below 1970's levels. Even the gang bangers who visit from NY know to go back north when they need to steal more cash.

It's definitely a challenge. :)
Traffic on Polk county has probably increased by 8X! I do not exaggerate. My area is shaking!
They just put up a proposal to add two express lanes to each side of 1-4. It is going to shake more.

You are welcome back in Illinois….
Those big spiders are probably wolk spiders
Rodents , for me, include possums and raccoons.

@@lizzieb6311 Oh no. I can definitely see why you’re upset. Where would you go after living here for so long?
No mentioning of
Florida Men
HAHA! That one never entered my mind! :)
Most "Florida Man" candidates moved here from other states or countries.

🤣
That's what they said 30 years ago about today. But Obama bought ocean front property, so that argument holds no excess water.
There is not any HIGH ELEVATION spots in Floriduh ...it's all flat.
Let's not get carried away. LOL
Honey, we only shower every other day as real Floridians.. it's the Yankees ( anyone above the state line ) ..thats the problems here..
Good job ! Super weak
Thanks for viewing.
and so you still live there? lol
lol I love it here. :-)
I would never move to Florida due to your insane crime.
Florida is under the national average as far as crimes. Theres insane crime everywhere. The more populated, the higher the crime.

I'd be curious to hear where you're from. I've been living in Orlando for 51 years and wouldn't live anywhere else.
