    Your 2024 knitting projects are so fantastic! That Book Club cardigan is a show-stopper. Wow! I get the "precious" problem. I think I have that going with my Sunset Highway... I've never worn it out of the house. Thanks for the video Natalie! I love how you compiled this and all your info and stats with the photo insert too. 10/10 Can't wait to see your 2025 process and projects. Take care!

    I looove watching your 2024 round up. I think you knitted the perfect amount as it was what worked for your life. You traveled and lived your life fully which is great. I also really loved seeing your presentation and all the stats. Great video. Can’t wait to watch your next ones ❤🥰😍

    You made so many lovely things! I love using Cascade 220 for beanies (non-superwash), I don’t find it itchy. I just finished my first mini Sofie scarf and I think I’m going to be addicted to mini scarves now. I found a cute pattern that I’m going to try next called the Manu Mini Scarf, looks simple. I love to knit socks, a suggestion instead of using stitch markers, find your sock that fits the best and measure from the very back of the heel to where the toe decreases start and use this measurement each time for perfect fitting socks. I have very long, narrow feet, so I always measure 8.5 cm from the back of the heel to where the toe decreases start and I have perfect fitting socks every time. I also keep leftover yarn that is not sock to use for the cuff, which gives me that little extra Yarn for the length in the foot, for anyone who has longer feet. I have my dream cable cardigan pattern that is on my list to make at the end of this year! Sorry for the long ramble☺️

      Your sock tips are so helpful! Using leftover yarn for cuffs is such a smart idea. Thanks for sharing all of this, I love hearing about your projects! 😊

    I love your presentation boards. Beautiful! I also love that you keep knitting as a hobby and DON'T have 30+ FOs to show. I'm pretty sure I only had about 10. It sounds like you had a great year of successful firsts with cables, colorwork and pullovers. I look forward to seeing what you accomplish in 2025. ❤🧶

      Thank you! I knit what I can knit and that’s that. I will just have to be patient for my sweater quantity to grow. I feel accomplished and I’m so excited for the coming year! And I’m so very grateful for subscribers like you ❤️

    I always love your mindset with your knitting. your stats cards are so neat!! I definitely want to track more stats with my knitting this year. your book club cardigan is so stunning, I geniunely loved knitting it so much I would happily knit a second version (although it’d be silly & impractical to have two in my closet) in a pumpkin spice or forest green color 🥰 you grew so much as a knitter & had so many firsts Natalie! what a great accomplishment and so many beautiful makes 🤎

      Thank you so much Morgan! I find them so fun to track and reflect on. I love the idea of a pumpkin spice or forest green version-that sounds stunning! And honestly, I say go for it if you love knitting it that much! 🥰 Here’s to more knitting adventures for both of us!

    I really enjoyed your video! I always feel like I’m doing something wrong cause I don’t knit 30 sweaters.

    • @KnitCheek
      @KnitCheek  6 днів тому

      Defenitly nothing wrong with that! I'd rather make 3 sweaters I love than 30 I barley wear.

    You can do like 2" of the Oslo in a scrap color at the beginning - I cast on in my main color, do two rows then switch, then knit to about a half inch short of the halfway point (that first knit until section) then go back to main color. This lets me get an Oslo out of 100g of yarn!

      Love this idea! I have a lot of tiny amounts of yarn that would work great for this. Thanks for the tip!

    Loved this round up❤
    I get what you’re saying about the book club. I’m a knitter of a certain age, with many cables behind me. That pattern …. What can I say…. I frogged it!
    If I had finished it I think I’d have framed it😂 Life is to short to battle on with knits that don’t give you joy, that pattern was not giving me joy. Love the finished piece but not the process.
    Love your channel x

    I had the same fit issue with my mini mock neck, and also made a smaller sizes. I think the issue is that it doesn’t have the “normal” ribbing to bring it in a little more.

    I love to crochet. But cardigans I don’t really get the wear out of them. Mainly because I’m cold natured and them being crochet the holes in the fabric don’t give me the coverage I need. I frogged a cardigan I had don’t if bulky. It should have been plenty warm but I only wore it once. I was freezing wearing this. So now I’m knitting a cardigan out of that yarn. What a difference.

    • @KnitCheek
      @KnitCheek  12 днів тому

      True! I think Ill stick to summer garments for crochet from now on. Thanks for your comment :)

    maybe you could knit in a softer yarn on the part of the beanie that is on your forehead (and anywhere that isn't visible) that way you get the softness and also save on yardage so the beanies can be 1 skein projects too
