My Dad was in the 1st battalion he went into crater . His name was jim Denkaat . He died last Thursday 16 th july 2015 agec 72 . He was proud to of been an Argyll don't think he ever left xx
+argyll1854 my dad has been ill a long time . so he didn't go to the salute . he did go and get a medal for Borneio and somewhere else a few years ago . when he could still go out . I'll see what I can do with the pictures he had of Aden
+argyll1854 my dad also boxed . when my mum went over to Singapore he had a massive black eye lol .. my mum's best friends husband was in the argylls . Bill Nicholson . they live in Elgin .. my dad was so proud of being an Argyll . keep in touch . Thanks xx
@@Alan_Mac ofcourse not pleasant because when the British troops left Aden, they handed it over to the gangesters and crooks, and never allowed to joine the commonwealth like the other previous British colonies, exactly like what they did with Palestaine as well...

My Old man served with the 1st Battalion in Aden Alastair (Yogi) Kennedy. Proud to be a son of the Regiment.
