I am mostly joking, I think it could work. However, it's worth noting that many fans of Star Wars only watch the movies and stay away from the EU. Think back to the Prequels, more than it's acting or pacing, its ideas conflicted with how many viewed those events before the movies came out. The same could happen with KOTOR. For example, i know many fans who prefer the Rule of Two and will only accept the Rule of Two, so making a movie that involves hundreds of sith acolytes will build some controversy.

This. Bane traded a thousand years of obscurity and struggle for what, 20 years of supremacy? 30? Only for it to all go tits up because one Sith had a change of heart and threw his master down a reactor shaft.
Even if the individual Sith of the rule of two were more powerful (which is VERY debatable) the order itself only really thrived for a ridiculously brief period, while earlier Sith orders managed to retain power for several decades if not centuries. Bane was one of the worst things to happen to the Sith and if not for Palpatine, they probably wouldn't have amounted to anything at all.

    • @TherealKRG-d7p

@@dominict9325 the rule of two was only created for the siths survival. Darth Bane created the rule of two based on Darth Revans holocran. However revans life gives us a clue on why the rule of two wouldn’t work. In the new sith wars (hate that name btw) the problem was multiple apprentices would work together to kill the master which ion know why the have so many apprenticeship in the first place. If Bane had combined the rule of two with the sith empire that would have made discovery much easier. Also multiple sith will receive ancient knowledge and add their own research or experience with the dark side. Which if that’s the case this system will surpass its predecessor. So basically there is only one master and one apprentice but there can be as many duo’s as you want. Infighting is still there but it gives new users positions of power which satisfy everyone. Leading to less infighting. The rule is once you either kill your master or rank up to a Sith Lord then you can have one apprentice unless you die or the apprentice ranks up. (But that’s just how I’d do it if I was in Darth Banes situation).

@@dominict9325 Hard disagree. The Sith by Bane's time were essentially wiped out. Bane realized that while galatic conquest may eventually be a goal of the Sith, for now it was about survival. The Rule of Two ensured that there would always be at least 1 Sith around, so they would never be truly gone. This also forced the Sith to rethink how they would gain power and control. They would have to be more cunning, be forced to work behind the scenes and use intrigue, diplomacy, social skills, ect. You know. The things that build successful civilizations.
Like it or not, an empire built by people who are fighting each other more than the enemy, corrupted by the literal cosmic energy of evil, and who are also zealots of a religion that idolizes suffering, subjugation, betrayal, hatred and endless thirst for power that will never be satisfied doesn't make for a very stable civilization. Their new ideology made them focus more on influence than outright control, and it was incredibly successful, with literally every single named Sith Lord after the Rule of Two was implemented being some of the most influential figures in the galaxy. Darth Plaugius was chairman of the banking clan. Darth Tenebrous was one of the most successful star-ship designers of all time. Darth Vecticus owned a massive mining colony. The list goes on.
Yes, the Sith's goal of ultimate power and control would be harder to obtain without being able to just slaughter and/or enslave anyone who opposed them, but it would guarantee their order would continue on essentially forever, and once they did manage to gain total control, it would be a much more stable grasp. Bane's Rule of Two almost single-handedly saved the Sith from total extinction and gave them a much better system overall. Your "20-30 years of supremacy" is only taking into account Palpatine's time as the mf EMPEROR OF THE WHOLE GALAXY. Not the decades prior he had of political control, massive amounts of wealth and influence, and oh yeah, that time he set up an entire fake war between his order's millenia old enemy and rebel group, both of which he was in control of the entire time, with him ending up the winner no matter who won. And this is petty much the story for every Sith since the time of Darth Bane. Maybe not the level of galatic emperor, but highly powerful figures in their own right.

The rule of two never really made sense. Darth Bane failed to see the real weakness of the sith. The number of sith wasn't the problem it was their philosophy. It's their self destructive and power hungry nature which led them to destruction.
The rule of two, to work, needs the sith to be selfless while asking them to remain selfish in order to become stronger. Realistically with such philosophy, never any master was going to let his aprentice overthrew him. And I can't name any sith of the rule of two who overpowered his master. Each time the master died was either out of pure luck or cheat.
Bane tried to "save" the sith but didn't want them to really change. Unlike him, Vitiate knew the sith were doomed and left them to create something new. The One sith was arguably the best one, but the nature of the sith overall remained...

Kenneth Kates the grey you cowering self serving, hypocritical bastards. You run from the order, which you see problems in. But instead of fixing it hide away from it. slowly eroding away to nothing. You see the problems of both the jedi. and sith and yet you run from them, instead of helping or fixing them. You don't abandon the force, when you see the problems it causes. But instead you use it to help no one but yourself. You hide in exile when the whole galaxy needs you. You don't ever help, all you do is loath, and loath is all you'll ever do. You are contempt to let it burn, to ash, cinder, and nothing. let the whole galaxy, and it's people burn, from the fire of war. You can't choose light or dark, rather you hide away, perching the grey and it's "magnificence and holy glory.". You should try to fix the order, but instead you exile yourself. You sicken me to the core.

Lemme rant. I know George Lucas said Star Wars was made for kids, (which i don’t agree with) but I swear if they made an Old Republic trilogy, just ONE trilogy, that was extremely dark, maybe even rated R, my life would honestly be complete. To see the mercilessness and just how badass the old Sith were on screen, my god that would be perfect. I mean Disney owns Fox, and they are making Deadpool 2 which is rated R, so I really hope it isn’t too far fetched. And it doesn’t even have to be rated R tho! Just one trilogy that isn’t full of annoying unnecessary jokes and not full of “good guys win cuz good better than bad yay” like a trilogy that is dark would be so noice

You had everything right except the Hundred Years Darkness. That war was actually the second of four schism wars between the Jedi n Dark Jedi. The Dark Jedi was exiled after the Second Schism War (Hundred Years Darkness - 7000 BBY) n crash landed on Korriban. That is when they started their path to becoming Dark Lords of the Sith. The official first war in Legends between the Jedi and the Sith Lords was the Great Hyperspace War (5000 BBY) which started the era known as the Old Sith Wars (5000 BBY - 3951 BBY). New Sith Wars (3681 BBY - 1000 BBY). Altogether seven eras in Legends: Pre-Republic ( Beginning of the galaxy - 25000 BBY), The Old Republic (25000 BBY - 1000 BBY), Rise of the Empire (1000 BBY - 0 BBY), Rebellion (0 BBY - 5 ABY), New Republic (5 ABY - 25 ABY), New Jedi Order ( 25 ABY - 40 ABY), Legacy (40 ABY - 140 ABY). BBY = Before the Battle of Yavin, ABY = After the Battle of Yavin.

Btw yes, the Star Forge could have been successful at first, but Death Star can just shoot out the Star Forge, and then Revan cant get more ships, weapons, droids. With his charisma, it is arguable he could still manage to gather some to his side, but a more interesting question would be
Vitiate's Sith Empire vs Galactic Empire. Given how the lore was a bit twisted so that the old Sith Empire resembled the GE, and given how many powerful Sith and superweapons they owned, let alone Vitiate, I'd argue it would be a bloody fight, and Sidious would eventually lose.
Maybe not, if he owns the "Republic-Empire' core territories, and Sith Empire owns the old territories, If they would own what after the Treaty of Coruscant, Id say Sith Empire is clear winner. Unless they sabotage themselves as they usually do. In that case, Sidious' centralized Empire has more chances.

I hate how Disney is trying to remove the Jedi and sith from existence, and make the series about the force itself, rather than the polar opposites of the Jedi and sith, and yet the striking similarities between them. Which parallels real life examples such as fascism and communism, so close in ideals yet immortally opposed to each other

The era that confuses me the most is the KOTOR to SWTOR era. The sith are there, then they're gone, then they suddenly have an empire, then they're gone again. The prequels make them seem like an ancient enemy long forgotten or seen in the galaxy, but SWTOR and KOTOR sets them up as just another player in the galaxy and not as important or malevolent as the movies made them seem. It's particularly confusing since the SWTOR story is STILL going on and we don't have a conclusion to the empire (for obvious MMO reasons; it's a faction). The eternal empire also confuse me because they're kind of like the empire, yet they're fighting them? And a god tier faction that can mass produce warships like they're peanuts and conquer the galaxy like it's child's play is just... Forgotten about? The old republic era definitely has a lot of holes and weird events to wrap your head around.
    Thanks Revan.

All respective light and dark side "orders" are incomplete in their philosophies, which is why they failed.
But the Rule of Two Sith came pretty damned close.
They were the "microscopic virus, too small to detect by the Jedi Order, while slowly infecting the body of the entire galaxy." (Darth Plagueis)

    • @justinlacek1481

      Darth Negrus
He didn't really talk about them much in this video, but the One Sith were wildly successful. They stayed a stable force for over a century, and when they did strike out, they captured the galaxy in only a fraction of the time it took the Order of Sith Lords to. Admittedly, they didn't hold it as long, but that was because of Skywalker - the same lineage that brought down Sidious.

The rule of 2 era Sith fizzled pretty fast once they actually had power. Plotted and schemed to gain power for a thousand years... but then lost it within 30 years of gaining it.

Also, another problem with the Rule of Two is that it's risky. One of its members attempted to destroy the Sith, and had he succeeded, then well.... Also, there is no surefire way to safeguard against the Master prematurely dying. A lot of these problems plagued the later Rule of Two orders, such as Lumiya's Sith

@@darthnegrus9255 The only reason a despotic dictatorship fails is because of the vacuum of power. Had the One Sith developed a way to ensure a sucessor, it would've lived on. The problem is that the Sith don't usually see the political picture. They want power, but they don't consider the way you can secure it - by having an Empire. If you have a sucessfull Empire, you can have endless resources and manpower to pursue your goals. Sith are usually selfish and forget about this. It's always ''let's destroy the Jedi''.

In my opinion, Exar and Revan Empires different from Naga Sadow’s, cause there are a lot of dark Jedi, but few Sith Lords (Revan and Malak and Bandon, Exar and Ulik), and there are no racism. Vitiates Empire are heritage from Marka’s empire with superiority of pureblood Sith and human, but grouped around godlike creature of immortal Emperor.
Brotherhood defies Revan Sith/dark Jedi differences and make them all Sith
Bane’s Order are non-country based Sith community, which rotate inside republic and act in secret.
Kryte Sith are government-based religion group, without rivalry in their ranks (almost), and they grouped around Kryte, like superior creature

You kinda glossed over the Lost Tribe, but then again, they were descendants of Sith who were isolated on Kesh and still held onto the ideals of the original Sith Empire. And the fact that they managed to thrive for thousands of years just shows how effective that society was without the constant wars with the Jedi.

The era of the new Sith wars and the Brotherhood of Darkness started over 1500 years after the death of Vitiate, when a Fallen Jedi named Darth Ruin caused another schism.

GreaterHalo06 Geth are synthetic lifeforms created by the Quarians initially as a slave workforce ~200 years before the events of the first Mass Effect game. On their own, they are not particularly intelligent, but the more you have, the more collectively intelligent and sophisticated they become. They have pretty much kept to themselves staying outside of Citadel space since they overthrew their Quarian masters, kicking them off of their own home planet. Some did split off from the collective whole to join Sovereign (the Reapers), but most of them seem to be indifferent to what happens outside of their own part of the galaxy (at least up to ME2 anyway, still haven't played the 3rd one)
I think that's everything, internet feel free to add on things if i glossed over any details or misinterpreted something, hope this helps

Even though I knew most if this stuff already, this video was pretty amazing. My only gripe is that you should have sounded a lot more like a sith. By that I don’t mean you should change your voice, rather your vocabulary. However that can be excused by the fact that this was supposed to be an informative video and not a RP. Anyway still loved the vid.
