You should check with a log house building company. They could sell you logs for just the roof and pre cut the top flat for your tongue and groove ceiling.

Maybe you can get logs from the Amish. Put a huge beam above on the block wall to put the logs on. @DREW. The Amish would have your logs and beams. Or if you have a saw mill company near you. It's going to be beautiful.

We spent days visiting the Earthship community .. got to walk through completed finished homes. also got to walk around and epplore constuction of other earthship homes . It was an amazing 2 days . If you are going to have a beam across the center of the house use half logs to cut down on excess weight.
