Definitely one of your best videos, it would be cool to have some drone surveillance over areas you frequently spot activity.... I think nessie is a large benethic ectothrem that spends most of its time deeper in the water column and the bottom. Only occasionally surfacing. But with modern drones its only a matter of time until someone takes some decent footage.
Supposedly someone recently got some drone footage of Champ during a movie shoot... about a girl trying to prove a lake monster exists... This said, and I am just throwing this out there because I'm tired and need to put this thout out, if you are right about Nessie being a benthic creature, and if Nessie is a plesiosaur, could it be that pleasiours are benthic ambush predators? This would be like snapping turtles. The reason this comes to mind is that there was a supposed sighting of a deep sea pleasiosaur by the ALVIN, where the animal was resting on the seabed. We'll see though.
Nice observation. I prefer to do my screen capture on that site with the image not stretched but I can understand the excitement of pulling up the tab and there's Nessie. Did that a couple time myself. What's cool about your video is that it clearly shows a surface behavior. With this in mind, it should help researchers know what to look for, rather than constantly looking for the classic head and neck sticking out for all to see. If Nessie is a predator of fish, moving slow like this would allow for it to reduce detection by prey.
Hi Geraint, I was over in Loch Ness3 weeks ago, for the search, Quest 24 weekend, and met Roland. I saw Alan, but I had nothing to speak to him about, as I have no interest in listening to sounds on a hydrophone which he himself said it could take years to identify these sounds in Loch Ness. The Loch Ness Centre who is funding him, must be taking the word (patience) to the extreme. I also spoke to Aimee Todd Loch Ness Centre, and asked, why did the people who sent in sightings during the big search last year, got no updates from their panel of experts, what was their findings were on each individual sighting. She couldn't give me an answer on that, only to say my webcam video on the Sunday morning of the big search was a "Log". Expert findings, that was rich? They did not examine too far out of the box. At the Live debate, and by the way it wasn't a debate, it was a question and answers session, sometimes no answer as like when Alan was asked what type of animal do you think Nessie is? He wouldn't answer the question for fear of his reputation, what reputation? he hasn't got one. Reminds me of Adrian, follow on of this skeptical approach to Nessie. The Loch Ness Centre tour would leave you with feeling there is not any Loch Ness Monster after viewing it. The panel got a question from online, about Chie Kellys photos, but nobody took it on and Roland talked about something else, it is like they didn't want to offend Steve, by directly answering the question. Roland was the only interesting person, worth listening to. I received a news update, Shorelands Lodges webcam will be back shortly. Good luck with the LNE and their sounds.
NICE catch!!! We have a strange thing going on in a lake over here in Norway. Only otters and small fish here but after an incident some years ago we see things like sound wave patterns on the water, strange movement like something huge is moving., light anomalies and a sound of scraping high pitch sound. I am very scared to let the dogs swim after 3 scary episodes in the water. .the lake is approx 100 metres deep or more. it is VERY deep and totally black. Maybe i can get in touch with you ? I have some question ..
