“Proving me guilty…” Trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar ‘breaks silence’ on committee investigation

- Puja Khedkar, a trainee IAS Officer who has been facing allegations of misusing OBC quota and PwBD provisions broke her silence on July 15 over the investigation going on by a central committee. She said she would be testifying in front of the committee and would submit her submission. She also said to media persons that proving guilty by media trial is wrong.
She said, “Trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar says "I will testify in front of the expert committee and we will accept the decision of the committee...I do not have the right to tell you whatever investigation is going on. Whatever submission I have, will become public later. Our Indian Constitution is based on the fact 'Innocent until proven guilty' so proving me guilty by media trial is wrong...”

पूजा फ्रॉड के कारण UPSC में बड़े पैमाने पर व्याप्त भ्रष्टाचार उजागर हो गया है। अब आवश्यकता है सभी संदिग्ध civil services के अधिकारियों के दस्तावेजों की गहन जांच करने की। UPSC पर भी सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई की जानी चाहिये।

I am getting a feeling that nothing will happen. After sometime people will forget this case and this lady will silently get transferred to some other location retaining her IAS service. This is where the system has failed over the period of time. In today's news paper I read that an IAS was found guilty in some land allocation corruption but the irony was , in punishment, that officer was suspended. Just suspended, I am pretty sure here also after some time this officer will be transferred to some other location/department and silently he will be reinstanted to do wrong in other areas and this time he will make sure that he do not get noticed. Very astonished by this. This is not what our forefathers have dreamt of India to and Indian system to be.
