Guns don't kill people, criminals do. Criminals don't register or pull permit to carry their guns. No matter what rules or regulations or bans on guns, criminals don't go to the same process, and those regulations don't applied to them. If the mayor still thinks that placing ban on guns will stop the crime in new York he is out of his mind.
They also don’t seem to get is that they leave everyday citizens in the crosshairs between them and the bad guys. Most of the time police come after the fact. In my opinion the police coming through the academy need to be trained better and longer a few weeks is not enough. r.I.p to this young officer and hopefully his partner pulls through.
What happened to the big idea of sending counselors to domestic violence scenes instead of police well I guess they all talk and no action.

Exactly. When the mayor said that they need to stop the flow of guns I found that to be distasteful. The problem is not guns. The problem is criminals getting illegal guns. He should of said we need to stop these criminals from getting ILLEGAL guns.

My dad was a police officer, and my mother use to take us to pick him up after his shift to go out dinner together, but when he didn't arrive back to his base when it was his time for him to come; I could see my mother's anxiety; they have families as we all do. My deepest condolences to the officer that lost his life for all of us, citizens of the City of New York.

A young man died trying to do his job and another on died from his injuries yesterday.
