    I bought one and I think it is very cool. I made rice in 9 minutes, chicken stew in 9 minutes too. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

    Hello 👋. I have 2 of these and they are truly wonderful. I use mine to make ribs, pulled pork, chicken & beef BBQ 😋.
    I lost my recipe book that came with it but you can easily create stuff with the help of all the recipes for Instant pot.

    this does not take the place of a regular pressure cooker. What I use it for is travel. I put lid in my checked luggage, and bottom in my underseat bag and fill it full of things. They do not allow an entire put together pressure cooker in luggage, but have never turned me away doing this. I just always get a room with fridge and microwave. I am vegan, difficult in many areas to find good food other than salad. At home I do not use microwave. But, when traveling they are a lifesaver. I make stews, baked potatooes, rice and veggies. etc. So, I carry this, one of those thin flexible cutting boards, a knife ( checked luggage) vegetable peeler, collapsible collander, and a can opener. I end up with beautiful healthy food while traveling.

      I think you're right. You see many more regular pressure cookers than microwave pressure cookers. Did I make a mistake buying one of these? I was planning on traveling with it. What's the best pressure cooker?

      They won't let you keep the top and bottom separate in checked luggage?
      It's not like the top and bottom are going to reassemble themselves, and then spontaneously pressurize.

    They say it doesn't stain, but it does! When I made chili in mine, it turned out delicious, but the sauce stained it.

    I just tried to make lentils, it spit steam all inside my microwave (cleaned it nicely! lol), then the middle thingy popped off. I only put in for 10 minutes. Lentils were done, but I wasn't happy. What did I do wrong? Can you use it with the microwave full wattage?

    I've been out of touch... did Cook's Essentials buy Prepology? Because I've had the Prepology one for over a year, and still use it all the time. It's the same size, too. It's great for pulled pork, pot roast, chili, chicken, and my fave comfort meal, meatloaf.

    I used both types, microwave and aluminium pressure cooker and the later one is the best. The microwave removes the moisture and the food becomes dry, where as the aluminium keeps it as it is so food is soft and tasty

    This would be great on the side if your normal stove-top or electric pressure cooker is already in use.and you don't want to wait forever for a side dish or next course to finish. Something that would be lovely for Thanksgiving.

    She mentioned at least 900 watts but they have a book to convert up to 1500 watt microwaves. My microwave is only 700 watts so will this not work at all in mine? Great looking product.

    "The brown is the most limited", funny, now its the only color available.
    But i guess its the color thats most stain resistant. Very usefull, especially in a small kitchen or dorm

    She said 30 minutes for the chicken the book said 40. I did 40 and the breast meat was a little dry, but still great flavor

    I know that I use to use a small pressure cooker, I believe from Nordic wear, it sells for $80.00 on Amazon. It doesn't say how much pressure it can reach, but it is built much heavier and is based on a stove top cooker. Of course they are promoting eating more and obesity is out of control. Then they state you aren't waiting for it to get up to pressure, and that is because it isn't getting up in pressure. From what I can tell it is basically a steamer, using a pressure cooker, and they are trying to jump on the electric pressure cooker popularity. 😐

    I just found a brand new, never used Emerald Green one at the local Thrift store today for $4.00 so I bought it. It had everything too, extra seals, the books and all still in the packages. I do have a question though, which is, how long does it usually take to com e to pressure in the microwave?

    How do you convert regular pressure cooker recipes to use with the microwave cooker?

    • @davefranke6509
      @davefranke6509 5 років тому

      Since the microwave comes to heat quickly, subtract the time it takes a regular one to come to pressure.

    They never really talk about how much pressure this item actually generates.

      well, +4psi (+0.28bar) means +7°C (+12°F) in boiling point. About 2x cooking speed, and perhaps more cracking power. It makes a difference. The containment and isolation could save energy when used correct. I'm considering ..
      And there are similar more expensive microwave pressure cookers, claiming up to +0.6bar.

    • @pteppig
      @pteppig 7 років тому

      Not a real pressurecooker, and some recippies that especially need the preassure dont work that well (Like pressurecooked dumplings). But its the combination of microwaves and an enclosed pressure vessel that works well.

    Dan Hughes is a pain in the arse, & he's so ignorant talking over Meredith. I wanna watch, listen & learn from Meredith Lawrence.
