Really like the logical, no nonsense approach sir! I work on my Honda the same way as you. Good job 👍
Thank you.
Excellent video! I have a 2011 CR-V and the same spill-free funnel kit. Glad to find this video before I took on the job myself - seems pretty straight forward.
Thank you
Good job. I am gonna refill mine with water, run it a day, re-drain, and repeat that process about 3 times do do a pretty good flush. Then add the coolant. It will be a little diluted but plenty good enough in the south. I will test freezing protection with a floating ball gauge. IMO, the special funnel is not really needed if careful and not removing the hoses. Air will always rise to the highest point.
I agree that the funnel is not required. It is a universal fit so it will be used the rest of my life on various vehicles and I don’t spill anything with it so it makes the job simple and clean. That’s why I use it. A regular funnel and a few rags would work too. Thank you for watching.
@@PaulNaylor3 I bought my Honda used with over 110k and have no idea how often the coolant was changed. So I am doing a super duper cleaning. How many miles on your CRV?
About 115k.
@@PaulNaylor3 We should get 400k if we take care of them.
Is the coolant from the engine block flushed also?
The total coolant capacity is 1.88 gallons and the drain procedure in this video gets out 1.32 gallons so about 0.56 gallons remains in the system.
How many bottle of cooling do you need ?
At least 1 gallon. I’m not sure if I used slightly more than that or not.
@@PaulNaylor3 thank you
