@@DrTrefor Also, I have seen that you have also experimented with the learning glass in some of your videos.
Why did you stop? What kind of drawbacks did you find with it that you decided to stop using it and went the PowerPoint-Green screen way?

I think if I had your videos back in high school, I would've gotten an A in Calc 3. I retook the course in university and easily got an A+ because I was able to fundamentally understand the concepts as opposed to memorizing formulas and methods. Thank you so much!

This video is really impressive. I am a math teacher and I have always had this ambition to make my lessons attractive through videos. But I didn't know how to go about it. Through this video I have just found not only the solution to my problem, but also a mentor who will support me in my project.

That was cool. It's really remarkable how high quality "home" content can be now. Anyone of your videos would have been a massive production 20-30 years ago.
I've thought about doing videos on subjects I'm learning just because teaching seems to be a very effective may to learn a subject. Being able to explain a concept concisely with simple language really shows that you understand a subject.

The is illumination about the making of videos, yet there is a void about the legalities of using other's software for commercial use.
MATALB is one example of software use (license) where there is a distinction between educational use and personal monetary gain. I would find it hypocritical for an educator to use licenses issued to the uni for personal benefit.
I enjoy your videos; they are well done. There was one aspect of your presentation not included: the transparent screen you talk behind and use fluorescent markers. Best wishes.

Interesting video - but the audio quality was a bit off in that your room has an echo - and it sounded like you made this video in your bathroom. The content is excellent - but it's useful to think about the audio as it sounds to the listener - a softer less harsh "living room" sound is more inviting. Some curtains on the wall to deaden the sound maybe? Also, I find that the most interesting videos have just a tiny hint of of background music that fills the gaps. This is a delicate thing because I have seen videos that have excellent content - but the music was overwhelming and much too loud. In any case, I really enjoy your work.

I might be able to meet my district at some arbitrary point between unfunded and fully funded in order to do a bit of what you’re doing. Of course the proof is in the actual value of the product. Does it help my kids learn? Is it worth the time (and money) necessary? Etc.. Whatever my outcome may be I just want to say THANK YOU!

Hi there! I’m also a university instructor, and I have a question if you’re still taking them on this video. About how long does it take you to produce a single video using your current setup?
I’ve been making Calculus I videos for my students but I find that the process takes quite a while. I have somewhat of a similar setup to yours - I use OBS and PowerPoint, and then edit together in Premiere. But I usually write out a whole script, which ends up taking quite a while. I also do this in an attempt to get each section of my video done in a single take because I worry that piecing a lot of takes together would take too long.
So, given that you “stitch” together your videos a lot more than I do, I’m wondering what your timeline and process is like. I’d greatly appreciate any feedback you have (or, even better, if there would be an opportunity to discuss this with you outside of UA-cam.)
    Thank you in advance!

Great job with the lighting and green screen. Your audio could be improved though by bringing a mic closer to you so it's not picking up so much reverb from the room, I like to use a lavalier mic or sometimes mount a shotgun mic just above my head and out of frame.

Hi Trefor, Been binging your channel, so apologies if I err with any of my facts. I'm really curious about your thoughts on the "lightboard" setup you had at U.Cin versus your current setup? Would you prefer that setup if you had a lightboard studio in your home? What do you make of the lightboard trend? Or is it too impractical/difficult for regular, personal, at-home video production? You seem to have found an excellent balance between wizardry and pragmatism with your setup. Btw, do universities charge for use of those lightboard rooms for non-faculty? From an education video production standpoint, I'm trying to wrap my head around where the lightboard fits in the constellation of options out there. Anyway, wonderful videos - and you have a tremendous passion for your topics! Kudos!

MS counselors in Korea have told me that MS products, especially PPT, are not available for commercial use, so I can't use PPT to make UA-cam videos. Microsoft counselors in Korea say that even if copyright issues have been resolved on all the contents of PPT, commercial use of PPT is not possible, and I am frustrated that this is correct. Also, I wonder if the situation is different for each country regarding this problem.

So I stopped subscribing to office365 personal when I heard them. Because I heard that UA-cam upload is not allowed even with office365 business license. Because MS products that have no possibility of commercial use have no meaning to me. I wonder if only Korean counselors talk like this or only those employees don't know about copyrights exactly. I asked MS counselors in Korea to give me the address of MS legal team, but they don't know. It's so frustrating..
