    I bought my Doll in Moscow in November 1989 during a short break in my railway journey from Tblisi to West Berlin and back to England. My business contacts kindly took me to a store on that Sunday, once my visa had been extended.
    I love being able to see just how things have changed since then, lack of food was a major problem then.

    When I was in Moscow, I went to Izmailovsky market for souvenirs. It's a huge outdoor market filled with stalls and small stores. I got nesting dolls, lacquer boxes, and small replica Faberge eggs. I wish now that I had known about the honey cakes.

    Hi valeria.I love the videos.I was thinking in the future you may want to make some cards with your channel on them.This way when you go anywhere and want to go to shops you can give them out( to shop keepers).This way MAYBE the shop keepers won't say no to filming.This could help them when foreigners come to their shops.Hey you never know advertising in any form is great! lol

    Hello Valeria, where would you recommend a tourist go in Moscow for a wood/coal burning samovar? I'm thinking Ismailovsky market as opposed to a samovar store on old arbat street for example. Any advice would be appreciated. I love the samovar video with you, Alex and dog, so cute

    Hi Valeria,
    Thank you for uploading this short video clip, I have grown to enjoy watching your films! Please would you consider producing a film about mental health facilities in Russia. Perhaps you could visit a local asylum and show us how Russians treat those with mental health conditions.
    Unfortunately I have suffered with acute anxiety and severe bouts of depression since the age of 13, that's 30 years now. I have attempted suicide once and continue to experience such dark thoughts when I enter into bouts of depression. It would be so interesting to see how Russians deal with people such as myself. Thank you.

    Seeing all those medals and badges for sale, I was struck by the contrast with my own experience in the United States. Here you cannot drive a short distance without seeing American flags in profusion, sometimes flying from several stores and houses in one place. This is something I do not see in your videos of Russia (except on special occasions or government buildings). And yet Russians are every bit as patriotic as Americans. Similarly, you will never see military medals for sale in the U.S. There is even a law against wearing military decorations one is not personally entitled to. Russian war veterans wear dozens of medals to parades and commemorations; Americans would rarely if ever wear them, especially out of uniform. Interesting cultural difference!

    • @ImixSpb
      @ImixSpb 7 років тому +4

      Russian legislation prohibited the transactions with state awards. Everything that we see on the shelf is an artistic copy the medals.

    Сейчас выяснилось что я не образован.Впервые узнал что Матрешка пошла рт русского имени Матрена.Век живи и учись.Что то среди сувениров я не приметил ушанку.Шапку ушанку не видел я. Я помню Джениффер Псаки была подарена белая ушанка когда она приезжала в Москву с Госсекретарем США. Как один из самых популярных сувениров в России для иностранцев. Я видел на других ресурсах что многие иностранцы их покупают.И белые и синие и черные - лишь бы звезда во лбу горела. Водка в магазине по полторы тысячи. Это еще что такое? Это специальный магазин для туристов ? Это нормальные Московские цены да,? Ужас что такое ., но и зарплаты соответствующие. Короче Москва красивый и дорогой город.Милости просим.😋 😋

    • @ImixSpb
      @ImixSpb 7 років тому +1

      Да, без Псаки стало немного скучновато, ее диалоги с Мэтом откровенно бодрили)) Хотя недавно она сделала очередной отжиг. Правда теперь как частное лицо, поэтому сети отреагировали вяло.

    • @differentrussia.
      @differentrussia.  7 років тому +1

      ушанки не удалось заснять в этот раз, зато теперь есть тема для следующего видео:) по водке я не спец, но есть и очень дешевая (по 150 рублей) за качество я не знаю, думаю что плохое, А вот магазин кстати это не дорогой (средней ценовой категории) есть дорогие сети - например " азбука вкуса". Там дааа - цены заоблачные

    • @igorrsokolov7948
      @igorrsokolov7948 7 років тому +1

      Сейчас и Псаки не надо .Сейчас отжигают все по очереди.И сенаторы и Трамп и Тиллерсон и все все все.Скажи только смеха меньше но дури в разы больше. Предложили отдать нам конфискованное дип.имущество ( дачи ) в обмен на нормализацию ситуации в Сирии. Ты понимаешь ? Сирию на дачи. Давай предложим им уйти из Сирии совсем в обмен на колбасный цех. Нынешний Американский эстеблишмент похоже поставил задачу превзойти Дженни , как говорится даешь внедрешь.😋😋

    In America we put the dollar sign ($) first. You could structure a sentence in two different ways. #1. May I have fifteen dollars? OR #2. May I have $15? I guess the real answer is that it is more proper. You are making very interesting and beautiful videos, do them as you want. I'm only suggesting. I would find it very interesting if you were to interview some of the Russian people and just ask random questions.

    Никогда не покупайте мед в таком виде. Это на 99% подделка. Особенно если там написано какое нибудь редкое растение. Все это чушь. Это не мед а глюкозно фруктозный сироп с ароматизаторами помешанный с самым дешевым рапсовым медом.
