    23:35 I think the idea is that when you’re going to someone who’s a professional and meant to know what they’re doing, you expect a good result. If I went to a dentist and they screwed up my teeth I’d be annoyed but if I tried to fill my own tooth and ruined it, that’s on me. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

    Wigs for Kids is where I donated my virgin 21in hair I cut off! They don't take chemical treated hair and they don't sell it like Locs of Love does. So please promote Wigs for Kids! That's lovely to work with and are America based!

    • @meinkanta
      @meinkanta 3 години тому

      I’ve heard Locs of Love sell MOST of the hair but I don’t know if that’s just because most donations received are sub par quality? What do Wigs For Kids do with hair that doesn’t pass the quality standard, just throw it away? Honestly though I feel like synthetic hair is so good nowadays anyway

    I've been cutting my own hair for years and I love these videos. Something about the knowledge of how bad I'd f it up if I had straight hair. As it is I cut the curls dry, like Edward scissorhands shaping a shrubbery. It only works because I'm committed to my texture and it's great fun.

    People sometimes don’t trust stylists because some of them chop your hair like a mess and then charge you Manhattan $$ for it. Some of them don’t know how to dye hair and some mess up layers so badly. I got a cut where an Eastern European lady literally made a short and long tier with nothing in the middle. Like, what’s that? I got my last cut at a Korean spot in Chinatown, cut around 5 inches off, and they slayed my layers. They’re beautiful now and can tell they’re going to grow out nicely. ❤❤❤❤ I wish I could show you the before and after!

      That’s funny, I ended up with the exact same haircut. My hair was a few inches past my shoulders. I asked for a few long layers. They gave me a longish pixie with one thin layer at the bottom, way longer down to almost my shoulders like a mullet. It was similar to the Mom on the Brady Bunch. I was 15 & cried in the parking lot. I started learning to cut my own hair after that lol.

    • @Tihiiiii
      @Tihiiiii 2 години тому

      I live on the eastern side of Europe, and most of the hairdressers here are awful! They don't know how to do hair at all. And on top of it all, they have the nerve to work with super high prices. A simple haircut with layers costs almost half of the minimal wage. Please avoid them yall! Generally speaking, they are not the one to trust! 😭 most of them "learnt" it by watching UA-cam videos and just simply went to take an exam that gives them the working permit. And as long as your work is "eh, good enough" you can pass the said exam 😭😭

The pixie came after when I was in the growing it out stage to even it all out. I think what takes into play is the person's facial features as well as the shape of their heads/face.

    5:00 - Finally!! Yes, oval faces do NOT work with any hairstyle! People, including Brad, have been saying that Oval is the most versatile and “perfect” face shape when it’s not. It’s definitely a round face shape (I think diamond shape, like Brad’s face is up there with round as well) that is perfect and versatile. Brad literally said it’s good for oval face to have long hair to make more rounded and less big!

    Love your blue hair colors, Brad. They are amazing and so conditioning. I color and cut my own hair. I have curly hair so cutting it is fairly easy, it doesn't have to be perfect. 😊

    "Don't fear us, what're we gonna do that is so bad?" ... Once went to a hair stylist for a trim. She must've hated me for some reason because my back length, healthy hair, got chopped off to almost my shoulders. Between that and getting a nail infection from a nail salon, pushed me into taking care of my hair and nails myself. I cut and color my own hair and i do my own acrylics. Do quite well for myself too. You are right when you say they don't care. They are definitely not all like Brad!

    I had the most thickest, naturally streaked dark blonde / light blonde long wavy hair when I was a teen; it was everything to me!
    Then I did a stupid thing - I agreed to be a model for L’Oreal. Not only did I not have any say over what I *wore,* I had no say over what they did to my hair.
    When my boyfriend picked me up, the look of pure shock on his face said it all, and I cried all over again.
    They had cut it into a ridiculous “flying saucer” looking style and it was bright RED!! Quite possibly *THE* hardest colour to get rid of.
    In that case *NO,* the money was *NOT* worth it.

    I can't have colored hair at my current job so my hair is a mess rn 🙄BUT Before this job I LOOOOVED xmondo colors!! I changed my hair all the time bc I knew xmondo colors would take care of all of the damage I did to my hair! I had a split dye and would have a lot of fun with colors but I think my fav combo was one side black and one side super yellow 🥰 Hoping to do it again someday!

    "They have the thickest hair you've ever seen, I don't know how this happens"
    So what happens is when your hair is that thick, you don't realize how heavy it is until you experience medical levels of neck/shoulder pain. That's when you're like "I need it all off of me NOW"

    13:54 SAME!! The two sides of my hair are very different! Straight down the middle! Of course it’s a thing because similar to how the front of her hair is usually different in the back of your hair

      Fr i can definitely feel that my right side is thinner than my left side and it grows slower. My hairdresser noticed that too. Our bodies aren't perfectly symmetrical and it's the same with our hair. Sometimes the difference is more or less severe but it's always there.
