This boy band was the epitome of what a team should be. They were all one band and each one of them made up the band but each of them were still individual and their each individuality was still celebrated as a human. Most of their songs has a lead singer for that one particular song but the whole band was singing and doing instruments for the same song as well. Their albums had each individual member sing the lead for 1-2 each so that not one individual got haughty and conceited. Can't say the same for the rest of the groups of that time. Their (90's) Christmas album is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. All their albums are like that.
I'm a guy and I've still got this VHS tape sitting in the other room. I just bought the 30th anniversary edition of the Hangin Tough album not even a week ago.
They are pretty good. Sad thing is as a guy in a small town you could never admit to liking this band because then you would get made fun of and called gay. Sadly not much has changed over the years...
I watched this over and over back in the day, until my damn VCR ate it. OMG it was the most traumatic day of my life. I sat there for days trying to fix it with tape but it didnt work. I still have nightmares about that day.

Can't stand people who criticize them. They were by far the best band of all time and showed other people how to actually be a band. Set the record for many of the bands to come. For those wondering…that long piece of hair in the back was called a “duck tail”. It was a way for guys to grow at least a piece of their hair long in the 80’s. What makes this group so special is that they did everything right. NO AUTOTUNE!! They sang, danced,played instruments, wrote music and always put on an amazing show. Nov 14 1990. I saw them in concert. It was my very first. We brought my friend with us hoping we could get an extra ticket but they were sold out we were both dumb teens. By some miracle I found my friend in a crowd of thousands of people who couldn't get in and parents and I walked back into the Rosemont Horizon with her, it was about halfway thru the show, there was zero security and we walked in and down to the very front and watched the last half of the show from front seats. It was amazing. She had the time of her life. Then we had the task of finding my other friends we came with. Which we did pretty quickly.

You're talking about Kari Lynn Nixon, who vanished without a trace in 1987. The girl in the video at that point was initially thought to have been her, but was NOT the case. The real one sadly didn't live to see the next day after she was kidnapped. :(

Yeah, her name was Kari Lynn Nixon, on Unsolved Mysteries & Inside Edition, I would also imagine others as well. It ALWAYS gives me the chills when someone goes missing without explanation, especially a kid, terrible stuff. Inside Edition tracked the girl in this video, she turned out NOT to be Kari unfortunately, as much as Kari's family wanted to believe it was, her name is Lynette Melancon. The murderer came forward about 7 years later, Robert Anthony Jones, he saw her while he was apparently getting beer at the same market Kari was getting a few groceries, where she was last seen in Au Sable Forks. He followed her, forced her into his car at gunpoint, and brought her 6 MILES to his cabin in Jay, where he did awful things to her. He then killed her and buried her near the cabin. He admitted to having a picnic with his family every year, right near where she was buried, so he could check on it and make sure it was undisturbed. About 7 years later he came forward, and admitted to his crimes because his wife pushed him to do it. Makes me sick. People who have it in their mind to kidnap, torture, rape, and murder innocents, like children and the elderly deserve the the death penalty, but it's these types of cases with defenseless kids or seniors, even women, that just go "COLD" without closure for the families or communities, are just super creepy. Fear of the unknown, I suppose.

For those wondering…that long piece of hair in the back was called a “duck tail”. It was a way for guys to grow at least a piece of their hair long in the 80’s. What makes this group so special is that they did everything right. NO AUTOTUNE!! They sang, danced,played instruments, wrote music and always put on an amazing show. I was a fan then and I’m still a fan today. ❤

I’ll never forget the narrator guy saying each of the guys names before they came out on stage and I thought the roof was going to come off the arena!! Without a doubt THEE most hype concert I’ve ever been to. No concert I’ve seen 30 years since then has even come close. People were losing their damn minds as soon as they busted out on stage!!!! Nov 14 1990. I saw them in concert. It was my very first. We brought my friend with us hoping we could get an extra ticket but they were sold out we were both dumb teens. By some miracle I found my friend in a crowd of thousands of people who couldn't get in and parents and I walked back into the Rosemont Horizon with her, it was about halfway thru the show, there was zero security and we walked in and down to the very front and watched the last half of the show from front seats. It was amazing. She had the time of her life. Then we had the task of finding my other friends we came with. Which we did pretty quickly.

The paper's music writer weighed in with an observation that the group members were good role models for the young fans because of their anti-drug message.

You're talking about Kari Lynn Nixon, who vanished without a trace in 1987. The girl in the video at that point was initially thought to have been her, but was NOT the case. The real one sadly didn't live to see the next day after she was kidnapped. :(

Just checked this cause of the unsolved mysteries thing. Turned out that our favorite girl was not the one who was taken killed and whos remains were found after all! Lucky for her.. Still a chilling story tho. I cant get the song out of my head now..
Yeah, her name was Kari Lynn Nixon, on Unsolved Mysteries & Inside Edition, I would also imagine others as well. It ALWAYS gives me the chills when someone goes missing without explanation, especially a kid, terrible stuff. Inside Edition tracked the girl in this video, she turned out NOT to be Kari unfortunately, as much as Kari's family wanted to believe it was, her name is Lynette Melancon. The murderer came forward about 7 years later, Robert Anthony Jones, he saw her while he was apparently getting beer at the same market Kari was getting a few groceries, where she was last seen in Au Sable Forks. He followed her, forced her into his car at gunpoint, and brought her 6 MILES to his cabin in Jay, where he did awful things to her. He then killed her and buried her near the cabin. He admitted to having a picnic with his family every year, right near where she was buried, so he could check on it and make sure it was undisturbed. About 7 years later he came forward, and admitted to his crimes because his wife pushed him to do it. Makes me sick. People who have it in their mind to kidnap, torture, rape, and murder innocents, like children and the elderly deserve the the death penalty, but it's these types of cases with defenseless kids or seniors, even women, that just go "COLD" without closure for the families or communities, are just super creepy. Fear of the unknown, I suppose.

Me and my friends were fans of the nkotb, five girls each have their own special nkotb. Mine was danny. Now I'm 47, discovering this video and watching it again bring back sweet memories.

Everytime I watch and listen to nkotb and Jordan knight I feel like I'm a good person and I wish I could have met them or maybe meet them imperson where I live in Honolulu Hawaii.
Seeing them "live" brings back all those feelings I had at their concert all those years ago.
I remember seeing this video when I was in 5th grade in 1990. This show still gives me the same feeling eventho I have repeated it like hundred times.
