I like the fact you haven’t over egged the power uplift. 650 to 700 is sensible and not likely to trash the other mechanical parts… if Macca think 720/765 is enough, I think we know the upper limit for these engine blocks. 👍🏻
That's nowhere near the upper limit of these blocks. Most manufacturers use safety factors of 2.0 or greater, particularly on boosted applications. This means that the parts are calculated to fail at roughly double the horsepower that they're intended to be run at. That's how you protect yourself from failure as a manufacturer.
This particular car is in California where the highest typically found is 91. But in other locations where 93 is available, or if you wanted to go to MS109 the difference can be significant. 91 to 93 is only 20-25 hp, MS109 is around 60 hp gain I think. E85 requires changing injectors as well.
In Finland we got 95 and 98 octanen gas as standard on all stations. 95 costs closer to 9.75 dollars per gallon and 98 alittle more expensive. What you think about that? 😀
Hello I'm Dario, from France near Marseille. And happy owner of a 2011 MP4-12c. Could you clarify if your job was done (like many specialized shops down here) by physically taking the ECU out and working on the bench They call it "stage 1" and advertise 680hp and 720Nm... Or not taking the ECU off but loading the software via the OBD connector? If yes, could I do it myself if I buy it from you ? Sorry for my poor english. Thank you Dario
Also, if I buy a 12c lets say for the ease of numbers for 100 thousand euros from lets say Germany with alot of these for sale. I pay a car tax of around 85 thousand on top of the hundred to get it registred to Finland so I can drive it here. 😂
Keep coming down? They've been going up till recently and stabilized. Advertised prices aren't necessarily what they're going for I'm finding. Often $10-20k lower than the highest priced cars.
@@McMedics I have found some used in the $170k range, unless they come down to $110k ish way more than I can afford. I will have to stick with by 800 WHP ZL1. Take care and good luck. Thanks for replying. That was awesome to interact.
Holy shit that is so fucking sick! Using the tech to switch settings. This impressed me out of everything lmfaooo
Impressive!

So when will you be back in CA? 😉

That’s great power how is that measured?
Dyno before, dyno after, power gained added to the factory rating.
What Hp difference between octanes and stages.

I think you have a different method of octane rating and it's the same fuel. 98 RON is 93 in the US.
Any idea of max safe power for these engines?
3.8's with bigger turbos and injectors you can get 900's safely without touching internals.
Stock DP/cats? Sport muffler?
Completely stock, sport exhaust.

McLaren ECU's must be removed and unlocked on a bench first. After that you can reflash it via OBD2.
catless downpipe consider stage 2?
I think the stage thing is stupid but yes most consider downpipes am extra level
Grandpa mode 🤣
Does M engineering have a tune for the Pure 800 turbos?
I believe so. You can get the tune through me and I can make all the arrangements with the ECU removed.
你去!炸裂去!!!
Im temped and i have been for months but its not cheap.
It's not cheap, but man is it worth it! When you're ready, make sure you get it through me on www.emfautos.com

Is this a catted car? If so this is what I need.
Yes it is! Stock exhaust completely. You can get the tune from emfautos.com
Down pipes and a tune you have 720S power
You aren't wrong, you'll come close (still shy, 720's are underrated) but the driving experience is still different.
@@McMedics hoping 570S prices keep coming down. That's my only chance at a McLaren purchase.

They've never been near $110k, and won't be for a long time. You can barely get a 12C for $110k now, and it'll need some work.
This car has pops and bangs? Great...let's drive it in automatic so you cant pull a hard down shift to hear them.
You can still hear them, it's not intended to sound like a Focus. You hear them simply letting off the accelerator, in any gear or driving mode.
please learn how to sit in a sports car before you fall into sleep.🤨
Calling it a sports car tells me your advice falls on deaf ears
