Some real solutions than all this BS, heart breaks and sob stories: (1) all cyclists must wear relfective clothing, and have front and rear lights (2) all cyclists must practice safety, things like looking back before changing directions (3) ban tinted wondows on cars (4) cameras on pedestrian crossings to monitor excessive speed (4) make all pickup trucks commercial vehicles requiring special license and training (5) put speed limiters on all trucks and add requirements to install forward and backward looking cameras. any camera not in working condition should lead to a fine of $5,000 (6) actively monitor aggressive and dangerous drivers and take away their vehicles for 60, 90, 360 days. After second charge they should loose their license for 5 years at least. Drving withoiut license should carry a charge of attempted murder. Politicians, judges and lawyers must do something meaningful to put a stop to this non-sense. These many lives lost due to a germ would be considered a pandemic. But accidents are treated with "repeated heartbreaks" by politicans.
You are not telling anyone here anything they don't know. Cyclists can use safety and caution and wear the the reflective vests in the world and yet we are still killed on the roads. Your thoughtless, stupid and heartless comment on a video about a dead father and husband is disgusting. I'd say do better, but I think we all know the chances are slim.
@@TheBikeLife Emotions are high and people are not even reading the remarks. I said nothing bad, thoughtless, insenstive or heartless about the person who lost their life. Also, I did not blame the cyclists. I am just fed up of politicians and people expressing their heratbreaks (mutiple times) but not implementing concrete measures to reduce deaths on roads. If everyone already knows what I am saying then great. Then I don't understand why there are so many accidents on roads? Also, I don't bike on roads bnut I am in favor of bike lanes. I am also fed up of speeding, lost, phone browsing idiots behind oversized and overpowered vehicles. You want to express anger, express it against the politicians, lawyers and judges who let all of these accidents happen again and again.
It was great to see SO many of his fellow MGCC members come out to ride. Not a member but rode along. #youneverridealone
