Great, informative, real world review. Even if you're in a different country which might not have these products, it's good to learn what to look for when buying a stroller / trolley wagon.
@@mallisabarry456 we did a part 2 already on our channel but we definitely will do an update with an even more mega line up! I’m waiting for the Ellavate wagon to be released 🥳 it’s great on sand!
I tested the evenflo on sand in the comparison video I did with it, I think in that kind of sand it would do fine without a ton of weight in it. The tires aren't very thick but the pull handle will help pull the small tires out if the sand so that's an advantage. It's kind of an odd shape when folded for travel and doesn't carry much so I wouldn't recommend it very quickly for travel honestly
@@nikolyee02 I've taken the pronto on different kinds of sand, it has done well on everything except for deep, fluffy sand. Not a wagon though. It's the best travel stroller we've ever had! The W2 2.0 may work for your needs but be aware, the pull function is a little strap and not a true pull handle. It's more travel friendly than the larktale IMO
Honestly, the push on it is one of my least favorite on any stroller wagon I’ve ever tried. I’d recommend the evenflo or babytrend MUV before this one off of push alone, but it really depends on how much weight the wagon will be carrying for what will be best for your family. The fold isn’t very compact either on the Jeep.
salute to your husband he the real MVP. lol. when i went to the beach last year with a wagon. OMG. it was a work out. this year i got smarter. and bought the wagon with the ballon tires. wow what a difference only problem was the price but wow. i carried 150 lbs like it was notihng
Which wagon did you get with balloon tires? Trying to find one I can put kids in with balloon tires. Are balloon tires only for sand? I’ve got a rocky road to walk first with lots of bumps before getting to the sand.
@@samanthamoran380 Big Kahuna Aluminum Beach Wagon. That’s what I use. There cheaper ones. Just have to search. But u can put a child in it if they don’t weigh to much I used wood that I got cut out to size when I bring my daughter. Definitely pricey but the amount of stuff. Plus. The less sweat. Can’t complain. If I have a crafty person u know you can just buy the wheels and axle and make your own
I agree, I am not crazy about settling in the middle for something that does fine in most places but I know some families have more limited space than we do.
Thank you so much! Pushing with big tires forward is better for situations where you are wanting to continue in a straight path- a hill for example. It may be helpful to pop the wagon up on big tires only but that will be difficult if there is a lot of weight inside.
Having a hard time justifying the price of the veer , even though the build quality looks superb. Does this work well as an actual wagon, like when the kids grow up and can longer use it? Like would it work well for events like trade shows, flea markets, etc?
It is certainly high quality! For wagon use without kids i would pick something without a footwell or an option that's easier to maneuver indoors. Something with a flat bottom like the wonderfold or pronto options will give you a higher weight limit and a nice flat bottom that's easier to transport things and steer indoors.
I bought the last set and they weren’t restocked last time I checked, but you’re welcome to buy mine! They fit lots of different strollers and wheelchairs. I was actually putting mine for sale today.
Out of these, we were considering the Jeep the most because we like the canopy on it and have heard other good things about it. We live in FL and the beach is something we will be doing more and more with our daughter. It's a shame they don't offer wider tires for these wagons.
@@StrollinSodaPops I'll check that video out. I checked Amazon after my comment and found the all terrain wheels but they were out of stock and with mixed reviews. A few people that got them for the beach have said they sink right in softer sand
Great experiment. Thanks for doing this. Also thanks to your husband he doesn’t get the recognition for following along in your reviews. My husband would be over it. 😂 Question: so how did you guys haul all the wagons plus the kids and tent over to the spot from the car?
Our pleasure!! He really is the driving force behind our channel, he is so patient and I'm the one that gets over it first 🤣 my husband bungee corded the Pronto and hauck on top of the veer along with the Basecamp tent and our crate of extra goodies, and I pushed the kids in the jeep because the fold is the bulkiest of the 4 options. We had to park far and it was kind of wild but really fun once we figured out the logistics!!
Super helpful! We have an uppababy vista that is a dream everywhere but sand. I love the idea of the veer but hate that every accessory is an additional cost. I have never heard of the hauck but thanks to this review it looks like it'll be the perfect fit! Perfect for hauling an assortment of kids and gear in sand or any other terrain a stroller just doesn't work well in. Thanks to your family for putting this comparison together!
I’ve been searching for an ease pull wagon use on the beach last year and other brands reviews doesn’t convinced me but this review and one other review with a guy pulling the wagon while riding an electric skate board pulling the wagon so easily which I doubt other wagons couldn’t be done?! Because I plan on pulling this wagon with kind of the same concept with that other review. Regardless, thanks for comparing with others. it’s clear to this day that Hauck is must have on sand beaches than other brands out there. Can’t wait for it to arrive. Idk if it’s a good idea but plan on taking it on a snow day lol.
I have the Jeep wagon too and we were never using it, especially for the beach. I did find out though, that they sell beach specific wheels for this wagon. I haven’t found them online for purchase yet. They seem to be on back order, but I believe they will work well.
Not trying to be negative in anyway. But on the Jeep wagon he was pulling it with the small wheels forward I'm sure it would have been much easier for him to pull the larger Wheels forward also the smaller Wheels turned against him in the sand the larger Wheels can't turn which would also improve the ease of pulling.
If the big tires were in the front, they would lift and the majority of weight would have been on the smaller tires. Not a good scenario. The good news is Jeep came out with sand tires that are hopefully good enough to solve this problem! :)
That’s not how physics work… As you could clearly have seen with the ski, there is forward momentum plowing into the sand. This is greatly exaggerated on the very first model since there is no catenary (as with a drawbar) but rather a fixed pole moving the axis of rotation near the front wheels, making them dig right into the sand even more.
This is exactly the video I need...for a keenz vs wonderfold and those types of wagons. unfortunately, these shown wagons don't check any of the other boxes that these do. Still looking for someone who has pulled these wagons in thick soft sand
@@elizabethjones1973 i would not recommend the larktale for soft sand unfortunately, the tires are not very thick. The keenz has the option for much better tires in the sand
@@elizabethjones1973 in thick, soft sand, unless you’re willing to get something with thick tires and/or a true pull handle, I don’t think you’ll be thrilled with the result. That kind of sand is something very few wagons can handle well.
